Nice classic ice cream stand! Covered outdoor seating, decent prices and cute location. Just down the road from Avonworth park.

I first saw this place a couple weeks ago while heading to the animal ER. I had bigger things going on so food wasn’t on my mind. While hunting for blackworms for my axolotyl I found out that Aqua World had them so I headed up and when I realized I was in the same area I made a stop for a treat. There are plenty of covered tables to sit at and the staff was very friendly. I had my corgi with me and they gave her a free cup of ice cream with a milk bone in it. I got a sundae with peanut butter and marshmallow topping and unlike the places back home, the whipped cream, nuts and cherry were included. My entire total was only $3.90 and the sundae was delicious!

The custard here is good and the prices are affordable — no complaints there. But the speed of service is absolutely miserable. Every single time I’ve been here, even with just 5–6 people ahead of me, it takes 30–45 minutes to get served. Watching a small line take that long is beyond frustrating.
I get that there are kids working behind the counter, but there’s zero urgency. You’ve got 40 people in line and still no one is just quickly pouring custard into cups while others mix? It makes no sense. The whole process needs to be rethought because the current setup is painfully slow.
Honestly, the wait alone ruins the experience for me. This will probably be my last visit — plenty of places serve great ice cream without making you stand around for nearly an hour for a simple order.

Absolutely loved this old-school ice cream shop. Set close to the Ohio River Blvd with easy parking and outdoor seating. Neighborhood hangout with families and couples. Great in the evening because of the rural vibe and lush hillside in the background. The selection was mind-boggling and I enjoyed the reasonable prices and quality. Service A+++ with friendly young kids and their smiling manager. I’ll be sad to see them close for winter!

Custards is the best tasting. Every time I drive pass this place I have to stop by and get me a delicious banana split. I tell you its so delicious and filling. It comes with a banana slices in half. vanilla and chocolate Custard scoop. With caramel and hot fudge. You gotta have the nuts on it. And I love mines with extra cherries. Wow writing this review makes me want another one. Im telling you, this place is a must try. My wife also loves this place. We recommend.

Classic. Timeless. 2019 season brings changes to the menu. You simply have to stop by for yourself. My recommendation is black raspberry and vanilla twist. And you can taste the cream rather than the ice crystals in the soft serve. So rich and yummy!!
