“We had an incredible dinner here tonight. The Tandoori Chicken was cooked to perfection. My husband had the 10 spice level. It was tender, and had that authentic char that’s so hard to find. But the real showstopper was the Lamb Biryani. The lamb was ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ tender, and the rice was perfectly fluffy and fragrant with saffron and whole spices. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both the tandoor and the rice dishes so consistently. Highly recommended!”

Wonderful traditional curry served with rice. I chose lamb as the protein and was not disappointed. The lamb was tender and well seasoned. You order with a spice level of 1 to 10 . I chose level 5, and was just right for me.

When my wife and I are in the mood for Indian cuisine, this has become our go-to spot. One of the things we appreciate most is how mindful they are about spice levels — my wife loves the flavor of Indian food but is sensitive to heat, while I prefer things on the spicier side. They’ve mastered both ends of that spectrum perfectly, and we each get exactly what we enjoy.
The service is always warm and attentive, and the food is consistently excellent. We’ve tried many Indian restaurants across the Charlotte area, and this one truly stands out — definitely our favorite in South Charlotte. Highly recommend!

I have been wanting to try Curry Place for some time now because the reviews are great and I love Indian food. My daughter and I recently went and had a great experience from beginning to end. The atmosphere is great and the decor is nice but doesn’t have much of an Indian aesthetic. However, that doesn’t matter because the food is what we came for.
We were promptly seated and our server was the waiter and the owner. The owner is wonderful and has a great background story to his life. First, we had to order the samosas. When they came out, they were hot, fresh and full of authentic flavor. The flavor was what you’d expect. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and I honestly didn’t have high expectations. I ordered it at spice level 7 out of 10. However, when my dish came out with the basmati rice, I was eager to try.
The portion size was enough for two people and from the first taste, it was amazing. It had the perfect blend of ingredients, spices and the curry sauce had the perfect thickness to it. There was no after taste and each bite was just as good as the first. The chicken was cooked very well. It wasn’t overcooked or undercooked. The naan matched very well with the curry and I could’ve kept eating but as I said, the portion size is enough for two.
The service was excellent as they made sure to check on us often to make sure we were happy. I was more happy with the meal and knowing that Curry Place is close to my home means I don’t have to drive to Ballantyne, South Park or uptown Charlotte. I highly recommend Curry place for the food first and foremost, the customer service and the value for your money. You won’t be disappointed.

Been to all the local Indian places over the past 20 years and have to say this is one of the best I’ve been to. Has all the standard dishes, missing a couple of my favorites but everything is really good. Curry’s aren’t just a bowl of sauce with a little meat, they are generous portions and the spice is very customizable. 6-7 was about right for us. I really like the Dal Makhani and the Lamb Vindaloo. Service is great and restaurant is very clean. Glad it’s close to home so I can go more often.

The food is absolutely amazing. Very generous portions. A lot of Menu choices. Quality, freshness & presentation is spot on. We ate in and the front staff was so welcoming & nice. Fast service & adequately staffed. Real utensils & plating. Cloth napkins. Nothing plastic. Comfortable dinning. Very clean with zero dirty or uncleared tables. They have a great collection of wines and beer.

I had wonderful experience at curry place. I went there for dinner and ordered some rasila gobi as an appetizer. Soo good. For my entree I got their fried rice. It was delicious. Good portion and perfect flavor with perfect spice. Plus the garlic naan. Yumm!!
