This was my 2nd visit here. 1st time was great and this time was even greater!! Servers/bartenders were sweet and attentive. I watched her like a hawk (I’m a bartender) as she mixed my mango martini and she SLAYED . Better than I could’ve made it!! Go girl ✊. Food was phenomenal. Do ya like spicy?? GET THE SPICE LEVEL 10 cause anything less won’t do it for ya…Trust me, I’m a spicy girl! .
Very welcoming and helpful the moment you walk in , the inside of the restaurant is very classy and nice. Beautiful glass wine room as you walk in, they have a Bar available and outdoor seating as well . Our waiter was very helpful on describing the food choices and very helpful and welcoming. We visited around lunch time and it was not crowded at all so we enjoyed having the patio to ourselves. You have try the chicken masala it has very delicious spices and flavorful sauce paired with the rice and the bread . They use a lot of spices in there food so if your not used to that this place may not be it for you . We loved the fact they have a spicy level , if your used to eating hot and spicy you can handle there hot level . The sauces they serve with the lentil chip from the beginning is very flavorful. Overall we had a great time and great food ,I will say it is pricey to eat here lunch and dinner but food definitely worth it . Bathrooms and overall restaurant very clean. Parking is not a problem , plenty of space and if your a vegetarian this would be great option to enjoy because they have several dishes that are veggie . I would definitely come back to try a different dish . The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because my husband dint like the shrimp in his meal , the shrimp was not cooked properly to him and he found a few of the shrimp tails in his masala soup . But my dish and experience was great so I encourage you to check this new place out in High point.
Curry & Spice – High Point’s Hidden Gem!
We tried Curry & Spice today, and wow; what a find!
We started with the meat samosas, and they were fantastic. Big, packed with flavorful filling, crispy on the outside, and a solid deal at $7.95 for two. My wife had the Three Lentil and Spinach Soup and loved it so much there wasn’t a drop left. I went for the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the portion was generous, enough for lunch tomorrow, which is always a win.
The food came out hot and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with just the right background music to make you want to stay a little longer.
All in all, Curry & Spice might just become our new go-to spot for Indian food in High Point. If you haven’t tried it yet, go hungry and thank me later!
I strongly recommend beginning your meal with the Gobi Manchurian (one would never be able to identify it as cauliflower). My wife followed our appetizer with Chicken Balti and I chose the Lamb Tikka Masala. Warning to the wise… Your food will be prepared to your spice tolerance. If spicy food doesn’t typically agree with you, I strongly recommend making your server aware of this matter.
Finally, we finished our meals with two desserts: Rasmalai and Gulab Jamun. Curry ‘n Spice has certainly won my favor, and I can’t help but recommend them to others.
It’s beautiful inside with great food & service!
My husband found this restaurant as his treat for hanging with me all day at fall High Point furniture market. I’m glad he did! We loved it so much, we went two nights in a row!
Complimentary, thin and crispy crackers are immediately brought to your table with a beautifully presented trio of sauces/dips. Very tasty and light enough to take the edge off without overdoing it before you start your meal.
I first tried the Chicken Tandoori. It was very tender and delicious. I did not realize, though, that it was bone-in, and all dark meat. It was served with a generous portion of rice and sauce. I love that you can tailor the heat of dishes to your liking. I tried a heat level of 2 on this dish to get a feel for this place. I had flavor, but really no heat which was quite fine with me that night.
We ordered a side of naan, and it was recommended by our server to choose garlic. It is cooked fresh and was delicious. Just be prepared for it to have a lot of chopped garlic on it. So don’t order this if you’re on a date!
The second night was chilly and we both ordered the Masala Chai Tea with milk. It is served without sweetener which is our preference. It was just spiced enough and was very smooth. I loved it, and would order again.
For my entree, I selected Chicken Vindaloo with a heat level of 4, which turned out to be perfect for me. Enough of a kick, but not so spicy that I couldn’t enjoy the dish. This was served in a pretty copper bowl with handles. The chicken was in chunks, very tender and served with lots of sauce, great for dipping. We selected naan with fresh basil. This was great for dipping! I absolutely loved my meal, and would definitely order this again!
I spotted Bread Pudding on the menu, and I always break down for this dessert. It was served with a pink drizzle on top which made me wonder what that was made from. After one bite, it was not the decadent dish I was looking for. I hate to waste food, so I tried to eat it, but had to stop. I love a good Bread Pudding. This was not it. If you’re a connoisseur, make a hard pass. This was the only negative I had of either night.
The Rice Pudding is the restaurant’s specialty and it had nice flavor. A good finish to our dinner.
This place was a win in our book, and we will be back!
Shout out to Bitya. She gave excellent customer service. We ordered momos two ways. I like them steamed and then cooked with chili sauce which isn’t on their menu but we requested and they delivered.
Highly recommended if you want to try something different. Not that typical indian curry leaf flavor in everything.
If we go back we will be back for steamed chicken chili momos.
Kudos also to the servers! Very attentive and very friendly!
