Owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a great Caribbean vibe and the food was incredible. Such a great change of pace compared to all of the other run of the mill restaurants in the area. This will definitely be a new staple for us!

Don’t let the shopping plaza store front and the simple table and chair set up fool you – this place is legit. From the greeting when we arrived, to explaining what the various food options were, to the taste of the food, Curry Mouth is a must try. I had the Curry Chicken & Roti plate with boneless chicken curry, curry chickpeas and potatoes and Roti. The curry was a little thin, but the flavor of the sauce on the chicken, chickpeas and potatoes more than made up for it. The Roti was mindboggling good. Plenty of thin dough, cooked perfectly and was strong enough to be used as a tool to grab the chicken, chickpeas and potatoes. I definitely recommend this restaurant for carryout or dining in as I did.

I stopped by here a couple weeks ago. Let me just say, the food was incredible. Fresh and very flavorful. I had the curry and the owner also let me sample the chicken stew. Both were absolutely amazing.
The owner himself was very nice, explained the menu to me and answered all of my questions. I had a nice conversation with him as well.
I definitely recommend this restaurant and the food here. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Saint Rice
First of all I am mad that I found this gem on my last day here. I saw a lot of great reviews on yelp and decided to try this place out. It has a very clean and cozy atmosphere with Caribbean music playing. The staff were great and helpful. I dined in and ordered the Curry Mouth Sampler with the added Macaroni Pie. The Roti was sooo good with the curry chicken. Everything was delicious and tasted like somebody’s grandmother was cooking in the back if you know what I mean! If I ever come
Back to Pittsburgh, this will be my stop a few times. Please come out and support this establishment, you won’t be disappointed! Wish I had this in Atlanta!

This is probably the best food in Pittsburgh. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had anything that balances flavors so well while still tasting healthy and filling all at the same time. I absolutely recommene Curry Mouth! The staff is also incredibly kind and helpful. I’m vegetarian and he walked me through the different veggie options and let me know he could make anything without chicken if I wanted to try something a little off menu. Just a great experience all around.

All the praise you see in reviews is well deserved and more. This was my first experience with Trinidadian food, and the Trini Sampler exceeded my expectations. The variety and quality of every item was superb. I’m picky about “salads” like pasta salad, potato salad, etc., and even the potato salad was some of the best I’ve ever had. We also got one of the standalone meals, the Trini lemonade, and two desserts – homemade by a mother/daughter duo who speak to my butter and sugar-loving heart. Everything was delicious and not spicy by nature like Indian curry, though they have a scotch-bonnet hot sauce and a tamarind hot sauce you can add if you’re looking for a little heat.
I would highly recommend a visit, and tell all of your friends!

A hidden gem in Pittsburgh, the most delicious and comforting food with wonderful service. Definitely get some sorrel and buss up shut roti with your meal! We are so blessed to have delicious trini food in the area
