The first proper Indian restaurant in the whole zone and I am delighted to say that their food is excellent (top tip for those knowledgeable of Indian food – tell them so because for sure the food will be much softer for locals than you would want – we asked for authentic). I have eaten alot of Indian food and I make it often at home. They have avoided the standard option of making 3 or 4 large batches of generic sauce then adding the required heat then dropping in the requested lumps of protein – no way – here instead the protein is richly covered in a sauce it has been cooked in and the portion of protein is large. The variety of flavours was superb and it was all about layers of spice flavour not about the level of chilli heat. Also most unusually the vegetable dishes were genuine main courses not some sort of side dish add on. We’re going back this weekend and trying just vegetarian! The joint owner and front of house manager was fun to talk to (and speaks perfect English as do the waiters). My main worry is the price – they were not charging enough, either for food or for drink.!! Negatives, not many, it was their bread chefs 3rd day and the nans just weren’t any good, wrong mix and no rise before cooking meant flat raw bits with burnt bubbles and inexplicably almost no flavour – I’m sure they’ll fix it very soon. It has only been open a few months and everything is clean and tidy but the ambience could be instantly improved with softer warmer lighting. Fabulous!

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant, and I will start by saying that Me and my lady enjoyed the food . Everything was fresh and delicious.
The Chiken Vindaloo was lovely especially after they kindly made it more spicy.
Service when the restaurant wasn’t full was perfect and efficient, but once the Saturday crowd arrived the service became nonexistent.
I would also mention the typical sauces that I expect in an Indan restaurant , like Raita , and all types of Chutney, the sauce served was a sweet and sour Chinese sauce and that was wrong in so many ways .
I understand Italian have a problem with strong tastes but a restaurant must be authentic to its origin.
Dishes were on the small size .
Reservations for the weekend are a must .

The staff were super friendly and helpful. My friends are vegan and the server made sure to let them know if there was anything in the meal they wouldn’t wish to eat.
Lots of options in the menu and all our orders were delicious, although on the smaller side, but still filling.
Take your time when coming to eat, and don’t be in a rush, as the food does take time to arrive (always can be issue when cooked fresh).
We will come again!!!

My family and I dined here yesterday and it was amazing!! The staff made us feel welcome from the very beginning and the food was delicious. Generous portion sizes meant that we had to take some food home with us and had enough for a second meal since moving to Umbria 8 years ago we have been searching for an authentic, delicious Indian restaurant and have finally found it! Highly recommend to anyone to go and are counting down until we can revisit

An excellent Indian. One of the best I have been to and I have been to quite a few. The restaurant was full resulting in inattentive service and difficulty to communicate. All in all I still think the place is worth a visit. Great job. Take your time and enjoy.

An absolutely fantastic Indian dining experience right near Santa Maria degli Angeli!
The quality of the food here is consistently outstanding—truly the best Indian cuisine we’ve found in the Assisi area. They specialize wonderfully in Kerala dishes, and the authenticity shines through.

We had lunch here today after visiting Baslica Santa Maria Degli Angeli. We were surprised and delighted to find Kerala specialities on the menu. Appam, chicken masala and red fish curry were very tasty reminding you of home.
