Tikka: Fragrant, thick, slightly sweet with a little bit of heat. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The veg was also perfectly done, with colour and a little crunch.
Vindaloo: Flavour bomb! Deep flavours, slightly acidity and packed with heat! Again, the chicken and veg were cooked perfect.
Naan: Freshest naan we’ve ever had from a takeaway. Full of flavour.
Rice: Fluffy and perfectly cooked.
Staff: Super friendly and helpful. There was a small queue, so while everyone was waiting they broke out some snacks, which was a really awesome touch. The wait wasn’t even that long. This small effort for customer service did not go unnoticed and was really appreciated.
We wish them all the success for their new place. The entire experience start to finish was full of care, quality and you can tell they love their food.
We lived in Hamilton and have tried everything local there, from the Modern India Buffet to the a la carte places local to Hamilton, all the way out to Burlington and Toronto.
CiC is amazing, their food is second to none. We’ve tried (so far) the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Misala, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Naan and Rice. All were absolutely top tier.
The only caveat I will add is that (except for the Butter Chicken) you should LOVE spice if you’re ordering food here – my wife has an extremely “white person” pallet and she found the Tikka Masala and Tandoori to be juuuust this side of “too spicy” (Meanwhile I love heat and I found the mild to be PERFECT).
It is wonderful to have a few non-american chain restaurant options in Caledonia, and CiC is our new go-to! This place and Tony’s are the two best places to eat out here.
2nd order from here was INCREDIBLE, and they gave my wife a free spring roll due to a short wait on Valentine’s Day no less. Their samosas LOOK store-bought (because they are so perfectly shaped!) but one taste tells a whooole different story.
This place either has a genius or a grandma in the back cooking, there is no in-between!
Their Palak Chicken is my favourite and their Rushmi Malai Chicken Tikka was awesome. Their veg Briyani is incredible too.
Food was so delicious, and good size portions.
We shared a butter chicken poutine, garlic naan, as well as an extra spicy chicken vindaloo. Lots of tender chicken in both dishes, butter chicken sauce was rich and creamy, vindaloo had perfect amount of spice, naan was amazing.
Service was fast and friendly.
Can’t wait to try other menu items!!
The server who greeted me was very friendly, ordered their dinner for two with butter chicken and aloo gobi.
When I returned to pick it up it wasn’t quite ready but the server brought me out a little snack of Papdum while I waited which was nice.
The food was absolutely incredible, such great depth of flavor. Beautiful fresh Naan, the samosas were some of the best I’ve had and the Butter chicken was the best I’ve had.
The aloo gobi was bold and balanced with great heat and acidity, all of the vegetables and chicken were cooked to the perfect texture.
I can’t say enough good things about the service and the quality of the food, great portion sizes too.
I can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes.
