You can order one of their signature dishes, or you can build your own. I went with build your own, so as to try as many ingredients as possible. You choose from bowl, salad, or wrap and pick your protein. The build your own starts at $8.99. Based on your protein (chicken, steak, or tofu), it adds an additional $3-$4 to your order. Guacamole is also extra.
In order to eat semi-healthier, I went w/ the bowl and tofu. I also got cilantro rice, roasted sweet potato, pickled onions, edamame, corn, olives, sesame seeds, and hummus (see attached). For dressing, I had them put on the side the spicy cashew and the creamy lime.
There are a LOT of toppings to choose from, as well as dressings, so it makes it overwhelming. I felt the same way as I did when I first when to Piada; because there were soo many toppings to choose from, I did not choose wisely when building my pasta bowl.
I have to say, when doing a build your own, it doesn’t seem like they give you a lot of protein. Perhaps that is to accommodate all the toppings you will choose. I was not impressed w/ the tofu. Although it looks and supposedly is seasoned, I got no flavor from it. The highlights for me in my particular bowl was the sweet potato, the hummus, and the pickled onions…..don’t skip the pickled onions. Both dressings on their own were good, but did not necessarily pair well w/ my choices. The creamy lime had an unexpected kick of spice.
So all in all, if you want a variety of “fresh” ingredients to choose from and like establishments reminiscent of Chipotle, Cava, and Piada, then check it out.
Super helpful and friendly servers and one of the owners even came over and talked with us. I’ll definitely be back for some tasty, but healthy food.
It was overall a positive experience, but I will say one of the female employees was not friendly in the slightest. We kindly asked for lids for our bowls when we got to the end of the checkout and she said nothing and instead gave us the dirtiest look as if we’d asked for something absurd. I noticed she had the same attitude with other customers as well.
Had the Classic grains bowl w/ steak, Spicy Thai greens. Both great! Get the guac
