In 1949, Curly and Velma McGuire opened a small Irish roadside restaurant, with only 12 stools. Curly’s, The Bar at Evergreen Resort, named for our founder, features a relaxed, come as you are, tavern atmosphere. This fun, laid-back gathering spot will appeal to casual travelers of all ages, and locals alike, while tapping into the popularity of the Michigan craft brewery vibe. Snifter Glass Cindy, Uber Paige, and the rest of the crew here will take great care of you. Our food was good, and the drinks were made as they should be. They do shut it down at 10 p.m., and that’s probably best. I’m looking forward to a return trip next year! Pub food, cocktails, laughs, and great service are what you can expect to get here.

Our food took over an hour. Pasta was cold, fries luke warm, and was given expired mayonnaise. I let the waitress know and she replied eww gross. No compensation offered. Definitely wont return.

If I could give it a zero I would!! I got the chicken bacon honey Mac n cheese and I should have just sent it back because it was so watered down thats all you could taste and for $17 I should have just went to gas station and got a microwave one because atleast you could taste the cheese!! Seriously everyone’s food at the table was gross. The chicken sandwich my girlfriend got was even waterlogged how does that happen and the kiddo got the kids Mac n cheese same thing wrong she couldn’t even eat it. The jalapeño poppers were so plain and like double dipped in the oil. I don’t know how this place is open tbh zero star!! Eat at your own risk but go to Culver’s atleast the food is edible and has flavor!!

This is the 2nd time I came and no one even came to my table to ask what I wanted or bring a menu. Food was blah last time I waited long enough for them to notice , like 30 min. I just left now, felt invisible. Excellent.

Wait staff not very friendly, we didn’t have a very large or difficult order but it still took 40mins. Then the burger had the wrong cheese, over cooked and almost cold. $20 for two bites of burger some fries and a tea. To say the least it was a very disappointing experience.

It took over an hour to get our food they were not busy it was karaoke night, my drink set empty for over an hour. As a manager in a customer service field I feel this was unacceptable and I will continue to eat at the Mexican restaurant down. The road from here on out and never step foot in this establishment ever again.

I stayed here a solo female last weekend. I came to the restaurant for dinner and ordered spaghetti and meatballs. About 10 minutes after I sat down a table (8+ all men) took up a few tables next to my booth. I received my food and a couple bites in the table of men started joking amongst themselves (not trying to be quiet) very sexual jokes (such as “I bet she likes putting those [meat] balls in her mouth”, and some even worse following, similar very crude comments. There were children in this restaurant at this time in the booth in front of me! I was disgusted and called over the server and told him that I could not enjoy my meal with this type of clientele sexually harassing other customers. The server came over and confirmed they were making nasty jokes and he just said “I’ll keep an eye on them” and gave me a box for my food and I paid and left.
This ruined my stay and I was surprised that the server did not say anything to them and brushed it off with a “this happens all the time with the golfers”. Extremely disappointed! This makes me never want to stay at this hotel gain or ever visit the restaurant.

QUALITY OF THE FOOD- food was excellent and good take out option while playing golf . Decent size bar as well

Was there on July 26, 2025. The bartender, Cameron, was great. Sat at the bar and met some other patron’s. We all had a great time with Cameron. Also, ordered pizza. We like very thin crust. The cook did an amazing job. It was delicious. Thanks for the great food and company.

I went to the Friday night fish fry. We sat down at a table and it took 40 minutes for the waitress to come over to take our drink orders. During that time, 3 other tables walked out for a total of 10 people. I noticed an older couple getting their baked potato the same time they were asking for to go containers to leave. After our order was taken, it took another 30 minutes to get our dinners. I noticed another table that came in after our table had their food and was ready to leave before we even got our order taken for our food. When our food came, the fish and ff were very good, but then my boyfriend found a hair in his tartar sauce. I told the waitress and all she did was say sorry there was no discount taken off the meal for finding a hair in our food. Our food was delivered with no coleslaw and when I asked the waitress if coleslaw was included, she said yes. Do you want some? Of course we want some, we paid for it! We asked for ketchup and finally after waiting we just grabbed ketchup off another table. That is after we checked 4 other tables that had empty bottles of ketchup sitting on it like ours. Carly’s needs to step it up in the service area and keep hair out of the tartar sauce!
