We were visiting Poulsbo for the very first time and stopped into this cute ice cream shop before heading back home. The shop itself was charming, and we were excited to grab ice cream as a treat for our kids.
My son wanted to try the Maui Waui flavor, so after waiting very patiently to be helped (the service was already moving quite slowly), I politely asked if they allowed testers so he could try it. The employee abruptly snapped back and said, “If that’s the case, you’re going to have to wait. I need to make a sandwich, so it’ll be 5–10, maybe even 15 minutes,” and then walked to the back.
At the time, there was only one other customer in the shop, so it didn’t feel nearly as busy as the employee seemed to suggest. Even my husband commented afterward that my question didn’t warrant that kind of reaction.
The interaction was extremely inappropriate and honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Because of it, we chose to take our business elsewhere, which was a real shame because the shop itself had so much potential.
I truly hope management addresses this with their staff, because experiences like this will drive customers away. Very disappointing and sad.

Local chain, with a cute vibe and personable service. This is NOT a fast food joint, but the I e cream options were plentiful and the seating was comfortable. My daughter was underwhelmed by the half a sandwich for her pb&j but she said it tasted good. Nice break from the weather if you’re at Liberty park

We wanted to love it but nothing tasted right. My Soy green tea latte didn’t taste anything like green tea let alone tea, we still don’t know what it was, the Belgian waffle was super bland even with the butter & syrup, the coffee wasn’t good coffee & the breakfast burrito was just ok. The staff was very sweet and the location is great so maybe we caught them on an off day during the Midtsommer festival.

This little hidden gem is truly a hidden gem. Easily missed, the CUPS coffee shop is between restaurants and shops. It is truly a miss if you overlook this place. This place does not do anything exquisite in terms of coffee but what it does do is it brings a little joy to your soul with everything else.
CUPS does not just serve coffee, it serves ice cream and also some small sandwiches too! The staff is extremely helpful and patient willing to go out of their way to help you be fully happy with your beverage/food purchase.
The CUPS coffee shop offers both indoor and outdoor seating. If you are indoors, it cute and quaint. If you are outdoors, then you get a fantastic view of the waterfront, marina, shops, and other downtown Poulsbo niceties.
Prices are spot on and affordable. Not paying too much or too little for the quality of your drink or food. This place is great to go to if you are just beep bopping around the downtown area of Poulsbo.
Since this place is locally owned and operated, I highly suggest going here and supporting a local business.

Great place to drop in and get a coffee or tea or Italian soda. Plus breakfast, lunch, a huge cookie, or ice cream! You can eat inside or outside.

My boyfriend and I came here yesterday on Easter and the barista seemed a little inconvenienced when we walked in. There just wasn’t much of a welcoming atmosphere going on. I proceeded to order two white chocolate americanos w/cream. One hot and one iced. The barista had asked me repeat what flavor I wanted in the coffees again, no big deal. The iced one came out first and it had regular mocha in it, as did my boyfriends. His drink tasted almost burnt. We only asked for the iced drink to be remade with white chocolate because it was obvious this person was training and we felt a bit bad. When they remade it a second time the white chocolate powder wasn’t mixed correctly with the shots so there was chunks floating around in my drink, and nearly all the ice was melted so it was kinda just room temperature. I was a little bit shocked that none of the other three employees there were helping/supervising them make drinks. Both drinks were pretty undrinkable, so I don’t think I would come back. Overall it was just a super weird experience.

I am so sorry and hate to write a bad review. The picture says it all. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. This is their “pulled” pork sandwich. Once again, we’re all trying to come back from the pandemic but spending money on food is still my hard-earned money and this was just such a disappointment. Also, when placing my order, they had to make sure they pulled it from the freezer. I should have known then. Sorry guys.
