This place is wonderful! The proprietor Ms. Lynch is so sweet and attentive. The decor is adorable and I felt kike I was in an English cottage. I was informed by my companion that the tea service was made in the correct order( tea first, then the dishes one after another). Everything was yummy! FYI, the food menu changes each month. The scones were delicious (pumpkin and toffee when we went), as were the sandwiches we chose (there are other lunch options besides sandwiches). The teapot was filled to the brim- enough for several cups. We will definitely be visiting here again!

My wife and I came here for four year wedding anniversary and boy, was it a great experience?!

The hostess was a fantastic person – she was very caring and she taught us a lot about the tea that was on the menu. She made us feel very at home and explained the menu to us very well too!

All of the glassware was beautiful and the interior felt very British, just like we were getting some midday tea.

The tea was delicious – My wife got apple cinnamon crumb cake, and I got peach. The food was also delicious, from the artichoke pasta to the cucumber sandwiches to roast beef sandwiches to the sweet and savory scones to the array of deserts, it was all absolutely delectable.

We can’t wait to go back!

Located just off Historic Route 1, in Ladysmith, Virginia, sits the home of a sweet little tearoom named Cuppa Cheer. A welcoming sign invites you inside a peaceful nook where tea and conversation flow in equal measure. This cottage-style tearoom is designed with sage and rose floral chintz curtains, white laced tablecloths and parasols suspended from the ceiling for a whimsical flair. Owner, Terrie, wanted her tearoom to be appealing but not too frilly. She nailed it. Offering old-world hospitality, her tearoom is casual and cozy.

Depending on your appetite, the tea menu provides plenty of options from a “Spot of Tea”, a pot of tea, two scones and fruit to the “Dilly-Dally Tea” which includes two pots of tea, four scones both savory and sweet, tea sandwiches, fruit, cheese, crudités, pastries and petite desserts. With the set menu changing monthly, you may be served such delightful tea sandwiches as cherry-walnut cream cheese, lavender chicken salad, avocado egg salad, carrot raisin sweet sandwich, tuna baby-pea crostini and the classic cucumber and cream cheese. The savory scones may include spring onion and cheddar while the sweet selection may be a peach cobbler scone. If you are lucky, you may come in time for the strawberry cupcakes and the homemade chocolate fudge. We enjoyed every morsel and the service was superb!

Tea drinkers won’t be overwhelmed with an extensive tea menu. Terrie thoughtfully offers a selection of about fifteen choices ranging from classic teas like Earl Grey and English Breakfast to green teas, herbal and fruit teas, oolong teas and chai teas. There’s a tea for every taste! It’s Earl Grey for me!

After tea, be sure to enjoy shopping in Cuppa Cheer’s corner gift shop. Filled with not only tea caddies, teacups, teapots and books, this shop is also brimming with hand-crafted items such as greeting cards, tea cozies, tea coasters, jewelry, wreaths and more. You may even find an elegant hat that suits your fancy. Be sure to browse around the tearoom dotted with tasteful tea décor and take a gander at the tea chandelier and the teacup quilt both hanging in the craft room.

My Cuppa Cheer runneth over!

This was my first time at a tea room. I didn’t really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by how cute it was inside. The food and tea were delicious. The owner and manager are so very sweet! My mother in-law mentioned that we were there for my belated birthday present, and they came out with a birthday cupcake and happy birthday confetti. I hope to go back to this tea room! Thank you again, ladies !

My Bridal Shower was thrown here, and I absolutely loved it! It was so cute and cozy!!! The food was yummy, and everything was well decorated. They even made the cupcake cake for me. They literally did everything. It was awesome! I highly recommend this place for cute, intimate get together.

Terrie just gets better and better. Her pumpkin dip was a combination of a pumpkin spread and s’mores with graham crackers that you could garnish with apple slices, banana slices, pretzels, and/or mini marshmallows. It was a build your own and oh so delicious. The pumpkin scones were out-of-this-world scrumptious. No matter what the month is, the food always tastes great. I had a lovely afternoon with friends and Terrie is the utmost hostess. She keeps me coming back for more.

Fantastic little place. Everything was great. I added soup onto my order, because I really wanted to try it. Everything is a petite serving, but the courses add up to the perfect amount of food. I will be back when I’m headed that direction. Thank you!

I recently attended a friends baby shower here and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this sweet place. The atmosphere was so beautiful, warm and welcoming. I felt like a royal princess having tea. The music in the background was such a thoughtful touch that truly set the tone. The attention to detail was second to none: from the carefully prepared delicious food, to the meticulously set table, the flavorful fresh teas, gorgeous serve ware, and top notch service were all SUCH a sweet delight. On top of our great experience at the table, the owner was such an incredibly kind woman who was happy to share with me where the delicious crackers were purchased from. That meant so much to be because I know it can be a touchy subject when it comes to a restaurants recipes Etc. But she didn’t mind the question at all. It was such a privilege to experience the result of her creativity that day.

All in all, I may have to make the 2 hour drive just so I can bask in this glorious experience once again. Please, if you haven’t already- make the trip to this gem. It’s absolutely positively one of the sweetest experiences you’ll have. Thank you!!!

This was one of our stops for my bachelorette day and it was fantastic! Great variety of teas and food, the owner was very pleasant, and we would definitely love to come back here. There was a GENEROUS amount of food for the 5 of us and we honestly didn’t expect there to be that much of it, we were all satiated by the end lol. Take any of your leftovers, including the tea, if you have some!! Super cute place
