This was my first visit to this location. We happen to find it on the way home using none other than Google maps.
This bakery is super cute, there is seating available to enjoy the drinks and cupcakes. I bought a red velvet and chocolate cupcake. They were very moist and delicious. They also freeze well. There were other items besides cupcakes, but I just stuck with the showstopper–cupcakes!
The staff was friendly and helpful with describing some of the items and flavors.
There is parking available on the side of the building.
Would I return? Maybe…only because it was on the way home and too far away.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for three years. This is one of my favorite places in Northern Virginia, BEST cupcakes! I’ve been a fan since their original location and I’m always left impressed. Their red velvet (cream cheese frosting) is my go-to. They also have unique weekly flavors, such as this Kentucky Bourbon in the bottom left of my photo. I’d also recommend their Apple Turnovers. Everyone that works there is super friendly as well, I love it!

I was out running errands and was looking for a coffee. Well cupcakes also ended up on the menu. This place is really cute. Small shop, really friendly staff. The debate was between one of the weekly specials or the regulars. Weekly specials won out.
I got a chocolate salted caramel cupcake and a s’mores cupcake to go. On the spot, I also got a small hot mocha. The coffee was good. A pretty standard mocha, leaning towards the sweeter side (not good or bad for that, just my take.)
We had the cupcakes at home later that evening. They were quite delicious. The s’mores had a frosting with a light marshmallow flavor and what I think was a bit of a vanilla/graham cake. I didn’t pick up on any chocolate. The chocolate salted caramel had a nice buttercream frosting, lightly salted and a bit of caramel in the center of the chocolate cake. Both cakes were quite moist and I felt the frostings weren’t overly sweet. I’m not usually one to care much for frosting and I ate all of it.
I’d say the cupcake size is sort of a smaller to medium. We split the two between two of us and it was a nice treat. You just won’t get filled up with one.
Looking forward to exploring more of their menu.

The vegetable quiche was juicy not dry and full of ingredients and flavorful, cupcake was beautifully detailed and delicious, coffee woke me up lol so it did the job! 🙂 very friendly ladies lots of people ordered cupcakes for school and wedding cakes while I was enjoying my own order so I’m assuming they fulfill big event batches for cakes and cupcakes… 🙂 came back AGAIN this time for the Boston cream and Pink Champagne cupcakes another house blend red eye that they French Press made, and of course another delicious juicy vegetable quiche….LOVE THE QUICHE….also Im so relaxed whenever I hear good music they play oldies…I LOVE OLDIES MUSIC 🙂

I have ordered from Cupcake Heaven 3 times and each time they have delivered perfection! 2 times we needed gluten free which I can say do not have a after taste or any artificial flavors as some altered foods do. My gluten free friend stated it was the best! Way to make the best!!!!

Absolutely love this place! Little hidden gem in Haymarket! They have a bunch of delicious cupcake flavors! Customer service is always spot on! I’ve ordered cake, cupcakes, coffee drinks from here on many occasions and they have never disappointed! Definitely check them out!
