then when we got home he opened his mandoo to find then completely drenched & soggy in sauce, when he just asked for a sauce cup on the side to dip them in. this completely ruined them as they are supposed to be crunchy but were completely soggy & quite frankly overwhelming to eat. even after separating them in hopes to make them tolerable the entire container was still full of sauce. definitely sticking to the cedar hills location from now on!
I’ve included two pictures to show what happened with my most recent order. I paid for extra meat on one of my bowls, (the one a little more mixed up) but the “extra meat” bowl actually had less meat than the regular one. You can compare the photos yourself.
I really do enjoy Cupbop, which is why I keep coming back, but it’s frustrating to pay for something extra and receive the opposite. I’m hoping this is something they can tighten up moving forward.
The food itself was also underwhelming. The portions were noticeably smaller compared to other locations, and the quality just wasn’t there. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the price.
My biggest concern, however, is sanitation. The condition of the restaurant made me genuinely worried about food safety. I strongly believe this location needs attention from health and safety inspectors, as the issues we observed should not be happening in a food establishment.
Lastly, while not the main issue, the place could really benefit from a remodel or general upkeep. With better cleanliness and maintenance, this location could improve significantly—but as it stands, I wouldn’t return
Really like Cupbop so still go despite the lack of perceived cleanliness, however on our last visit ended up with an entire pile of long human (seemed human) hairs all throughout my bowl (have attached pics)
It wasn’t just 1 strand, it was like a whole clump and it was wrapped around several pieces of meat…kind of seemed like maybe it was cooked in to the meat and then served to the bowl without them noticing somehow (just guessing on that)
The store was nice and offered to replace the bowl but just couldnt stomach it – not sure we’ll be eating Cupbop for a long while and definitely not at this location any longer :/
Staff is usually pretty nice. The set up is a bit strange and so people are standing around not knowing who is queued up to order and who is just waiting for their food.
We were warmly greeted by happy, smiling, friendly employees behind the food counter and made us instantly feel welcome! I met Mike, the marketing director, who happened to be there, helping serve food, when we walked in.
Being our first time, the menu was explained to us and they also suggested recommendations to our liking and preferences. I love that they have different sauce options for HEAT on your food. They even understood what “Utah” spicy was, VS. the rest of the world spicy, which was entertaining but they “got” me on that, such a breath of fresh air!
We tried their chicken bowl and the beef bowl. They place the rice on the bottom of the bowl, then the noodles (I opted out of the coleslaw), and then your choice of meat on top, then glazed w/the sauce/heat of your choice.
The ambiance was great. Cozy, welcoming, and clean. Next time you want a great lunch that’s quick and filling, and yet tasty, come stop by, you’ll thank me for it!
