The burgers were meh. I hear alot of talk about the place, but butter doesn’t replace seasonings and spices. I’d say it’s got more character than In and Out, but still a far cry from Whataburger. Its definitely on the more sophisticated end of fast food. The fries and cheese curds were pretty good, and I might go back for dessert.
Four out of five stars for food due to the bun on my sandwich toasted long enough there was a burnt flavor.
I have no idea how they had time to burn it because they were very quick.
I would definitely go back
I totally enjoy coming here, they have plenty of parking (room for a bus or 3) plenty of seating inside and outside plenty of dessert choices to help ya wind down after a busy day at work or out and about with your family (kids, grandkids and such). Order ahead, with curbside pick up. Today, I had the Culver’s burger deluxe with bacon, their ever so delicious Crinkle cut fries, and Mmm mm mm mm m that Culver’s exclusive Root beer soda pop. Enjoy, i be hoping to return tonight for their daily dessert special Caramel peanut butter, mmm.
First, the fried cheese curds are awesome. The cheese has more structure than a fried Mozza stick, and the breading sticks to the cheese nicely. Very tasty, and worth hitting the drive-thru just for these.
The Butterburger with cheese was also excellent. I got it with “the works” (ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions, might be missing something) which I thought was perfect. Might add fried onions next time. The patty is well seasoned and tastes possibly like a Salisbury House patty. Overall, the burger tasted like what a McDonald’s McDouble should be. Well worth trying.
The frozen custard is also delicious. It tastes more dense and rich than any other fast food soft serve I’ve had. We got a free custard after filling out a 3 minute online survey on the bill from cheese curds. Makes it worthwhile to plan to hit Culver’s twice in a trip. The cement mixers (same as a DQ blizzard from what I could tell) are very popular and there is a special flavour of the day everyday. We tried the plain vanilla, just to understand what the “custard” was all about, and we are glad to have started there.
Definitely will be back.
