I usually go with the flow and don’t complain but this was really bad. Ordered a sourdough “melt”. Bread grilled on one side… other side just buttered. A few onion pieces. Little cheese and the burger was smaller than what I get on my burger happy meal at McDonalds. No-where near what an almost $5.00 burger should be.

I had great service at this Culvers. It was largely high-school aged students working when I went in but I was greeted immediately and the cashier was very professional. My food also came out very quickly.

Food is good, but burgers can be pretty greasy. Staff are always friendly! The location, although new, does not give that feel. The interior seems a cramped but it’s nice that they have outdoor seating.

Ordered cheese curds on two separate occasions and did not get cheese curds on both occasions. Don’t put it on your menu if you’re going to refuse to serve it.

Normally the service is fine but this time we got a new hire as our cashier. He was stumbling through the ordering system & over-charged us on many items. i.e. The Deluxe package with mayo, lettuce, & tomato, & he overcharged just for charges for the tomato thinking that it was not part of the Deluxe add-on.

Eventually a person who knew more came over & helped out & think goodness he did because he overcharged us almost $5 worth of things. And I get it, I understand hiring new people & the learning curve it comes with time on the job. & in this case he probably should shadow a team lead a bit longer.

In this case, we had a double whammy where I ordered extra bacon on my sandwich. I was clear that I wanted the Deluxe package & when I opened up the sandwich (it was to go) I couldn’t believe how messy it was & the haphazardly way the sandwich was put together.
I was upset enough to go back in & say AND show the manager how it was put together. The manager was gruff and said wow dad well I suppose you wanna free sandwich too much now. And I just looked at him and just believed and said no I’m and said no I’m bringing this to your attention so you can better train your stuff. If it they need to take an extra second or 2 to properly put a sandwich together then give them extra second Richard to do that period it’s not rocket science but when you’re paid For a sandwich and expect it to come out a certain way and it doesn’t but yet you still pay for it I believe that I should be heard. So I wanted to bring this to your attention because not only was it a service issue from the front of house, but the back of house, & to Manager staff. also the manager’s response and it really left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t know where any business would have a manager speak down to a guest let alone, have a paying customer leave with a poor sandwich it should have just been a simple fix,”Oh I’m so sorry, here let me make you a fresh one”. (And for your trouble here is a coupon for a value bass value basket for a future purchase. Please come back again and I’m very sorry about the sandwich. Allow us to serve you again. That’s a simple, straight to the point & it’s taught that way all over in the business world whether you’re a culvers or you are a fancy restaurant where it’s $100 a plate.
