The Rochester Culver’s is a textbook example of how a franchise can dilute a nationally trusted name. Culver’s built its reputation on Midwest hospitality, fair portions, and consistent value.
This location delivers the opposite: rude staff, noticeably smaller portions, and nickel-and-dime pricing that contradicts what long-time customers expect from the chain. The most frustrating part is the disconnect; overcharging while smiling… as if poor service is acceptable.
Culver’s succeeded nationally because customers could rely on consistency; this location undermines that trust.
Plenty of restaurants nearby still understand how to serve a value proposition with courtesy.
Eat somewhere else.
Also assumed it would be possible to get my baskets the next day but they needed a receipt to prove that what I was saying wasn’t a lie.
It is dumb to not get any sort of compensation, maybe some free fries or something but nope
Everyone was nice I just hated waiting 30 minutes just to get the completely wrong thing then have no comp at all
This is a multi post from two Wednesdays. Arrived the first Wednesday and had to wait for a few cars to order. Very polite person at the speaker. Ordered the one patty burger and made it a basket. They said six dollars and some change. I immediately though ah man this burger is going to be small. Got to the window and they put a sticker on your mirror and tell you to either pull up or pull around and park. Wasn’t expecting that but I guess they make orders to order.
Pulled around and waited for about 10-15 minutes. It wasn’t bad but I was on a lunch break so that was a drag. Anyways…got my order and was really surprised. It was really good and even the pop tasted good. Some places has very weak tasting pop…not here.
The second Wednesday was today…same deal but just shorter wait time and I got the double burger…way better in my opinion.
Definitely be back to this location, we’ll done.
From Customer Service ( Brian the Crew Leader so courteous) to the Hot food and cleanliness of store.
