I am glad I found this wonderful place in South Bend! I was heading to my car and came across this place unplanned. I ordered dumplings to go, absolutely delicious. I’m looking forward to eating here again. My kids loved the food as well.

Kabuli palaw comes with a slow-cooked lamb shank. Big portion size, and tastes great. Mantu was also very good. The biscuits for the chai are freshly baked to order, which is amazing! Definitely going back again.

We had the Kabuli Palaw and the dumplings, both were delicious!
The palaw doesn’t look super interesting — rice with meatballs, raisins and carrots — but everything is spiced really well and the dish is packed with flavor. The dumplings were outstanding, we tried all three kinds.

The food is very delicious. All the food was very good but I could not eat all at once.

Well, that was delicious! My husband and I sat on the outside patio of the Whistlestop house to enjoy our Afghan dumplings – beef with regular lentils and chicken with spicy lentils. Both were delicious. And enjoyed rice pudding for dessert that was the perfect end to a yummy meal. We’ll definitely be back!
