Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

Stopped by here to try the coffee and tea! I ordered a XL black cherry tea and a medium pecan pie latte with oat milk!! Both taste really good. Most definitely will come back and try the other stuff. The lady taking my order was very nice and helpful.

Coffee was great! Delicious flavors without being too overbearing. Really nice inside, with an inviting atmosphere. The mobile experience was easy to order for pickup. They had my drinks ready to go quickly, and were friendly when I entered. I actually like that it’s tucked behind the gas station, because it feels more private and chill. Will definitely be making this a go-to stop.

my new go to when i’ve been going to starbucks, dunkin, dutch etc. for years now, love that they opened this store so close to me!! the coffee is great i’ve tried something different every time i’ve gone. the girls are so sweet too and kind to my dog who always comes as well. *** and i wanna respond to this review on their behalf (no i don’t work here) ma’am newsflash you aren’t a queen and employees making min. wage should not bow down to you, and yes you should go to the back of the line you can’t just order at the window AFTER people are already waiting for their drinks that were properly ordered, the privilege is showing karen. anyways love it here 🙂 ***

On the evening of December 17, 2025, I went through a frustrating situation when my Lyft driver left me outside in the cold. I was standing there trying to figure out what to do next, and it felt like the night was headed in the wrong direction. What could have been a miserable experience changed the moment I stepped into Black Rock Coffee.
The three young ladies working that night showed a level of kindness that felt genuine. They let me come inside to warm up, allowed me to charge my phone, and even offered me a complimentary hot drink. They were not just doing a job. They were being thoughtful and human at a moment when I really needed it.
Their kindness completely shifted the tone of my night. I am truly grateful for them. Black Rock is more than a coffee shop. It is a place where the people make the difference, and that is worth recognizing.
I appreciate them more than they know.

I wanted to add a kids hot chocolate at the window and she said I had to get back in line because the line was “long” (4 cars behind me). She said this is corporates rule and for me to talk to Kylie. I asked for contact information and she said she doesn’t know it to go online to obtain. I was there today at 8:58am. Horrible service. Dutch Bros service may be long at times but at least they have pleasant and helpful people working there. (Should I mention that all I ordered was a muffin?…Plenty of time to make a kids hot chocolate). Yea, never again.
