This fish house is a unique experience in my opinion. It’s packed out on the days they’re open which is a testament to the food for sure. This is a community, country restaurant. It’s not big, so you will wait for a table and you will weave through those waiting for to-go orders. It’s loud inside but that’s the community part I was mentioning. The food is great. It’s simple and delicious. I could eat a basket full of hushpuppies alone. The food isn’t greasy and it’s seasoned well. The service is good just be mindful of how busy it really is in there and be patient.

Stick with the whole fried fish and skip ALL the other seafood! I love crispy fried fish fillets but that’s not what we got. Soggy oysters and fries mystery crab cake and a disgusting soft shell crab. Not the experience or food we hoped for. 3$ watered down tea. 42$ Comon’ yall can do better.
To go box was a much better deal. 12pc fish fries hush puppies slaw and a gallon of good tea. 45$

We lived nearby for 20 years and believe Cuevas has the best fried catfish in Mississippi and Louisiana. We’ve moved now and travel but every time we pass through we stop if we can to remind ourselves what great

We visited Cuevas’s yesterday evening when they were pretty steady but I have to say every employee handled it so well. Our past experiences we have not enjoyed to much but YESTERDAY…. Man the food, the atmosphere, the walking into every employee and customer laughing and enjoying time together. And that GUMBO! I can’t say enough how it was back to the original gumbo! That’s what this business has always felt like and I can’t put enough stars to truly let everyone know how much we enjoyed the food, the owners sitting and talking, we noticed the employees pulling together and working and smiling(we were told by Ms. Heather after the fact they were short staffed) but I can’t praise the crew enough in how I watched them smile and laugh no matter how busy they were! We truly enjoyed ourselves yesterday for the first time in a long time! So I pray the employees and owners see this review and spread the word of how amazing they did yesterday! We will be back more often! Keep up the amazing work!

The fish was crispy hot and salty. The fried pickles were delicious. The onion bloom was mediocre. The service was excellent and everyone was so nice even the other customers were stopping by the table to say hello.

I loved❤ the fried catfish, coleslaw and hushpuppy, not crazy about the French fries.
Definitely I’ll be back. All you can eat fried catfish or fried chicken. Always call to make sure is open.

This place is a classic. This year makes 60 in business. The servers are sweet and knowledgeable and the food was what you would expect from a place that specializes in fried seafood. Everything was tasty and very affordable.

Placed an order online to go, and was delighted with the quality of food and quick service when we arrived. We’re from out-of-town, and we were told Cuevas was an excellent choice for catfish.

I always thought catfish was so-so, but Cuevas sets itself apart and has really perfected their offering. The sides were plentiful and absolutely delicious. My family and I were pleased with everything, even down to the half-sweet/half-unsweet tea that the waitress mixed up for us on the spot. The coleslaw especially is 10/10, probably best I’ve ever had.

When we come to visit again, hopefully soon, we’ll definitely be coming back to Cuevas for sure.

Let me start by saying the service is amazing she was so kind and helpful, okay now I got the shrimp platter it was the best I’ve had in a very long time!! They definitely have made me a customer for years to come! I wish I would have stopped there sooner that is my only regret.
