Cuckoo’s Nest is a great Mexican restaurant. The decore is fun with lots of interesting things and the food was fresh and tasty. Get the pricy pear Margherita if you’ve never tried prickly pear. I got the street tacos with chorizo which were fantastic. My uncle swears by the creamy garlic dressing on the salad and loves the rice and beans. My aunt enjoys the salsa which has a kick to it but not too spicy. Highly recommended for Mexican cuisine in the area.

I wish I could give this place more stars but I can’t… the food was ok it really was not the best, they charge you for everything as well. They charge you for the salsa refills as well as drinks. The refill price is high. They charged $2.50 for a salsa refill same as the chips and more for a drink. We got a margarita and they charged us for the flavor of the drink also for it to be frozen.. that is $5 extra on top of the drink price! Also, our sever was also not good. She seemed very disoriented..

Hubby and I came here last night for an early dinner. First, our server, Jacob- laid back, attentive, professional and friendly- was awesome! Drinks were yummy, especially the white sangria, and the catfish appetizer was amazing. My shrimp and asparagus fajitas were sizzly and cooked perfectly, while hubby’s traditional combo was off the hook. We somehow squeezed in the lava cake and left, thoroughly happy, to take turns on the treadmill. What an awesome place!

We were a group of eight and we spent $200 and we still have to pay an extra for salsa and chips. Unacceptable. Margarita Monday for 5 dollars and got the bill had to pay 2 dollars for flavor 3 dollars for frozen. The waitress should have mentioned all the extra costs also for drink refills. We had no idea about extra costs.

We sat on the outside patio. Very nice, lots of atmosphere with painted walls and picnic tables. There’s a bar outside. Didn’t see main dining area. Lunch menu had good choices. There is a senior discount. We had steak fajitas with rice. Very delicious. Due to food allergies I asked for some changes on the preparations. They were very accommodating. Restrooms clean, parking lot, pleasant staff. They did charge for drink refills.

We went during what I assume was the typical dinner rush, so I came in with the expectation that things might be a little slow… This was the SLOWEST. The food was decent, although some dishes were better than others. The fish tacos were really just a piece of fish with a slice of avocado and a few chunks of mango, no sauce or salsa to bring together and sort of flavor profile.
