Came here for lunch on a friend’s recommendation. It did not disappoint. We ordered two small plate options and Ithey were amazing. The staff were friendly and efficient and we even ordered another gilled octopus order to go. It was that good. I will definitely be back, despite living on the Westerly/CT border.

Every time I come here I am always satisfied! The food is really excellent and unpretentious – fresh, house-made pasta and the best eggplant parm I’ve had outside of Italy. Portions are very generous. It really feels like a family place with a quiet, inviting atmosphere. Service can be a bit slow but the servers are always so friendly. My only real complaint is that I wish there were a few more vegetarian options, but what they have is always excellent.

I planned a surprise party for my husband this past Sunday at 5PM- Of course the blizzard was coming! I texted Kelly Sunday AM – within one minute she called me – we moved up the party to 2PM – I called everyone -Norman was in charge of my party – he could not have been more accommodating. The food was delicious – comments were made – best stuffed mushrooms they ever had? The veal parmesan and chicken francaise were both so tender you could cut them with a fork – and all the other food was just as great! I highly recommend them for dinner or for a private party!

Starting off by saying that I am a very particular eater. I go to restaurants just to see if they are worth going to and let me tell you that Cucina is worth it.
Out of all my years eating various foods, this was one of the best. We had the Calamari, the Meatballs and Rigatoni ( best meatballs so far from any restaurant that I’ve been to) and the star of the night literally the best Chicken Marsala. That mushroom sauce was made with love.
As of now Cucina became my favorite Italian restaurant in the state. I have a few more places to go to but I have already been to so many and this tops all of them.
The ambience is very nice. They had a singer called Steven Palumbo. He sang beautifully. Kuddos to him.
I recommend reservations.

Went for a family birthday. Norm was phenomenal. Our family ended up having a bit of an emergency, that staff was beyond helpful and made sure to be more than accommodating. The food was really good as well, but the service was definitely the star of the show.

The food came very fast and it was OK after we were there an hour and had finished our dinner. We were asked to leave our seats our seating time was over because the next reservation had arrived and was waiting. We were there for one hour and spent $250. This I feel is very rude to do. I’ve been to many restaurants and have never been asked this. This was rude and took away from the fine service we had at Cucina rustica. I would say go somewhere else if you want a relaxing, unrushed dinner.
If a reservation is limited to a time it should be explained to the customer.
We Did not feel like a valued customer and will NEVER return.

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and the host was pleasant and welcoming. Unfortunately, the margarita pizza we ordered for take out did not follow suit. Within minutes of eating the first slice both my wife and I developed a stomach ache. The dough tasted old and rubbery. The pizza was overwhelmed with extremely salty, acidic sauce, and there were 3 bay leaves on the entire pizza. Very disappointed, considering it’s an Italian venue. We don’t usually review restaurants but this pizza was so awful that we felt compelled to warn you.
Followed up to restaurants response: They are correct. It was basil leaves on top of the pizza, not bay leaves, as I had described, in error. However, the rest of the review stands as described.

Food is great here, arrived at a weird time where it seemed like there were plenty of open tables but no servers. That aside, it’s a great value and great red sauce Italian. Very good pizzas, great chicken parm, etc.

Our party of 4 enjoyed the food and family style service by staff
All dishes were extremely tasty and well crafted
The only negative was the fresh pasta was very uncooked and chewy
Clam pizza was a hit
Sunday gravy bowl was enough to feed 4 people and the chicken parm & shrimp dish we ordered was delicious
