Would come back! Everything was fresh and delicious. Loved the dip for the bread. Also thought the veal, gnocchi and tiramisu were delicious. My server suggested a great Italian wine and it went down very smoothly. Great service too!

Impressive meal!

Went here for lunch with a client (their recommendation) and was very happy with the decision. It’s a nice place with a classic restaurant feel. There were a couple minor bumps, but the service overall was good. We were celebrating a win, so I got the cioppino and an order of the ravioli; both were delicious. I also partook in an Espresso Martini, which was solid. We sat outside by the water front, I’m always a fan of the indoor/outdoor places.

I’d go back and would recommend it to others.

The food and drink options here are really authentic. Great wine selection too. Highly recommend the antipasti to start. For a Saturday night dinner rush Cucina did their very best to keep their heads above water. However we had to wait a bit for a couple of things to start us off. But if you want fine Italian dining in Sonoma county there are few restaurants better than this one. The location is perfect for a romantic date night in Petaluma and the atmosphere is very warm.

This place does not disappoint! The food is absolutely delicious. If i have to chose, my favorite was the homemade ravioli. The veal is good too (especially the potato on the side). Both appetizers are so fresh. The carpaccio was sliced to the perfect thickness… Everything honestly was chef’s kiss.

Came here on a Thursday night and so glad we made a reservation. The place is packed by 7pm, but not loud; as it is a classy establishment, dressing up is not a must but doesn’t hurt to dress to impress.

This is going onto my “must visit” restaurant when I visit Sonoma County!

I hadn’t been there in years, and it was definitely five star then for me. Questions to the waiter regarding champagne he had no idea, didn’t know what kind duck it was so I could decide how rare. I ordered medium rare, which it was, but tough and tasteless, so sad. Other meals nothing to brag about. Hopefully just an off night. Fairly crowded and noisy. The bar looks fantastic.

Wow.
When we asked for recommendations on where to eat in Petaluma, several people strongly suggested we try this little restaurant.
We called for a reservation several weeks ahead of time. That was a definite must…we ate here on a Saturday night and they were booked solid and turning disappointed people away.
Service is great. The man who waited on us was patient, pleasant, and attentive. The young man assisting him was equally pleasant and efficient.
The food is crazy good. My husband loved the calamari salad…a good portion and super fresh tasting. He also enjoyed the clam and linguini but with angel hair. The clams were great but the pasta was even better. Perfectly prepared with lots of flavor. I enjoyed the rigatoni. Delicious. All portions were large.
Ambiance is bustling with travelers, families, and regulars. Busy but not crazy. The open kitchen adds to the ambiance.
Would definitely recommend for a great Italian meal experience.

We were only here for one night, and stumbled upon this gem. Truly incredible. Petaluma’s best in regards to consistent excellence and above and beyond service. We ordered a special home made pasta with truffles that was out of this world. Cocktails were created with passion by the best bartender Manny. Tiramisu was perfect, and the squash soup was higher level dining. We will be back. Lock this place in if you’re visiting!

I recently went back home for a week and ended up coming to Cucina about three times, somewhat unplanned but grateful to have had the experience. They have done an incredible job with outdoor seating and being right along the riverfront. Their tent and heating was wonderfully appointed and ensured that we were kept warm as the night grew a bit colder. The bread and olive oil that come with the meal is exquisite and I would surely fill up on it if I didn’t stop myself. While dining there, I had tiramisu, pasta with clams, cream puffs, pork tenderloin, and the antipasto. All of it was delicious and filling with some to take home. I would easily come back given the easy of reserving a table, outdoor ambiance, and quality of food..they definitely have the perfect combo there!

It was only a few minutes walk from the parking structure to the restaurant. At the seat outdoor, you could enjoy the breeze and the view of the river.

We really enjoyed the appetizers and our dishes. It’s one of the Italian restaurants that I would like to come back again. However, I personally would not recommend the dessert because it was the only point that disappointed us (too much brown sugar for the crème brûlée). Other than dessert, everything was great!

This time we were not that lucky – one of the clams was so bad! Otherwise the place is consistent with a good service and good Italian food. We sat outside by the river in the tent area, still we could hear nice music, were kind of protected from the wind and pretty much enjoyed our outing.
