The food was pretty good, but not outstanding. For an appetizer, we had dos empanadas and they were quite good. I had the lechon with yellow rice and plantains and my husband had the pork sandwich (pan con lechon). The pork was quite stringy, but it was tender. We also had a big cup of Cuban coffee, which was delicious.
Lastly, the service was excellent.

I recently visited Human Foodies – 13855 W Hillsborough Ave, next to Lowe’s, and I truly enjoyed this establishment.
The customer service was outstanding. From the moment you walk in, they welcome you like family — warm and familiar, but never overpowering. It feels genuine and heartfelt.
If you’re looking for the authentic flavor of Cuban coffee — the kind that makes you feel as if you’re sitting in Cuba — this is absolutely the place to go. The coffee is rich, bold, and simply epic. The food is just as impressive and pairs perfectly with the experience.
The music adds to the atmosphere, making your visit even more enjoyable from the moment you enter.
Highly recommend!

How picky can you be with a little Cuban restsurant. It could get 4 stars for little mistakes here and there but the truth is the food is fenomenal. I’ve tried the vaca frita, the Cuban sandwhich, and many more and it is delicious. The flan has a bit of a hard film on the bottom from the baking process but you know, it’s just a little tiny thing. The coffee is very well made if you’re into cortadito (the Cuban way). The staff is very nice, friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is a 3 due to some burnt out bulbs and little things like that but that can be overlooked if you just want to be there for the flavor. Oh and try the pork masas, so tender and juicy, like I’ve never had before and I’ve eaten a lot of those in my life… the bame says it … Foodies.

This Cuban restaurant is about a 45-minute drive for us, but it’s always worth it. It’s a small, family-owned spot located in the strip mall next to Lowe’s. The food is consistently excellent. My personal favorite is the Vaca Frita, which is fried shredded beef with onions and packed with flavor. My wife loves the Ropa Vieja, a classic shredded beef dish in a rich tomato-based sauce. The tostones are also very good and always perfectly prepared.
The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. We usually go for dinner, but they also offer a great lunch menu. They serve excellent sangria and have a nice selection of wine and beer, along with great Cuban coffee to finish the meal. Definitely a place we’re always happy to return to.

The place is nice and well decorated. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Best part is the food.. it is delicious. They serve good portions and the prices are right. They have special weekend brunches and I’m looking forward to trying them next weekend. They even have Peruvian dishes, which is great! We needed a place like this in the neighborhood. I think this will become my favorite spot from now on. The coladita was delicious!! I got the ground beef bowl and it was really yummy; not greasy or salty; I had it with white jazmín rice, black beans and plantains. Our appetizer was yuca frita, served with a green sauce and that was really great too. We also tried the Cuban sandwich and French fries; that was freshly made and yummy. I had iced coffee at the end that topped the whole experience off. You need to have cafecito at the end of your meal! It totally makes a difference I think Cuban goodies is the place to go if you want great latin food. I hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Cuban was ok. Not much ham, pork or seasoning to it. The pork bowl was good, wish the yellow rice had more flavor to it. Overall the experience was ok.

Unfortunately, for us, we chose a different location for dinner yesterday. Today, we made the right choice. We had a Cuban sandwich, Mojito and Mojo Yucca. Everything was fantastic! My mother-in-law is Cuban and cooks. Great Cuban food. I would never tell her that this was better than hers, but it was definitely some of the best restaurant Cuban food we have ever had.
Cardina took care of us from the moment we got in. She answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. She was very friendly and courteous. We are from Vegas and we recognize customer service is a huge part of the business. The owners are definitely lucky to have Cardina.

Best Cuban food in the area hands down. I have the pork bowl with yellow rice and black beans and I’ve been thinking about going back ever since. Lol. Great service as well.
