Founded in 2015 by Chef Iliana Almaguer Tamayo of Bayamo, Cuba, and joined by Chef Tobia Uribes from Mexico, the restaurant began as a humble food truck and grew into one of Lansing’s favorites. Every dish, from Ropa Vieja to Cuban Sandwiches and Flan, tells a story of love, heritage, and family. Guests say it feels like “stepping into Cuba without leaving Michigan.” With a new East Lansing location, our mission remains: to share authentic Cuban flavors and warm hospitality, one plate at a time. I’ve lived my whole life in California and have had plenty of authentic latin food. I can confirm this place is authentic and absolutely amazing! You can order at the counter or order through a small terminal near the front of the door and customise your food however you’d like.
There is room for about 20 people in the establishment, so it may be hard to find seating in busy times or to seat a large group. Either way, I will be coming here again!

Delicious authentic Cuban food, their sandwiches are amazing and their ordering kiosk made ordering very simple! I especially enjoyed their fried plantains and rice pudding.

WOW! Fantastic food, and FANTASTIC service! The people who work here are incredibly kind!! And the food was fantastic! We went here as a family with our 9, 5, and 1 year old. Our kids loved the food too! The staff we so kind to us and our children. We got Cuban sandwiches, rice and beans, cafe con leche, and a kids burger with fries. The kids burger was so good too! Will be back to this location!
