More pork and a few more pickles would have been great but it was still very good. The ham croquettes were awesome.
After this visit, I had a cuban sandwich at another well-known venue on Lee Rd. Just come to the Cuban America Cafe. Tastes more like South Florida.
This is genuine authentic Cuban food as it is a family operated cafe with one of best “Bistec de Palomilla” plates ever (Cuban Steak Plate, with Rice & Beans) with some delicious onions. Been going here for more than 15 years and always get the same thing, never disappointed with the food or service. If you in downtown and want some good Cuban food for lunch, this is without a doubt worth a stop.
Ps: they have recently adjusted their prices due to inflation (see the photo I added).
Pps: on my third visit, I came at 7:30 am, which is their opening time. The doors were closed. The security guard informed me they’re usually open a few minutes after 7:30. So, keep that in mind when you’re planning your trip. Amazing empanadas!
Friendly staff and perfect for a quick lunch.
The cafe is on the first floor of the building and you won’t know it’s there till you go in and to the left of the front door. Visitor parking is also available.
