Hidden Gem, found them while searching for Al pastor Tacos in Dallas. Got food twice, once to go and then dine in. Very delightful taste, good presentation, quality ingredients and proper execution (corn tortillas are by default). Right from warm salsa, tacos to entrees. Must try Guiso dish, Cochinita Pibil tacos and Al pastor tacos. Pet friendly patio. Cozy atmosphere. Definitely recommend

Ok, this place was actually really good, I thought ahh another place downtown and it won’t be good. I was wrong, this place was really good. I had the birria ramen and we also had enchiladas. The birria ramen a 4 out of 5 and the enchiladas it was 4.5 out of 5. We ordered chips and salsa, the chips yum 4 out of 5 but the salsa I would give it a 3.5 out of 5, it was good but I dont think it goes with the chips. I did use the sauce for the birria ramen that was good. I would definitely come back to try other menu items that look good to try, now that I know the food has flavor.

Brunch here is delicious!! This is such a cute spot for date or with friends. We got the chilaquiles (Huge portion, so good) and corn pancakes. Both are must trys – the pancakes are a super unique texture. Will be coming here again!

Los Cuates Kitchen – A Hidden Gem of Veracruz Flavor

I had an amazing experience at Los Cuates Kitchen! The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast. This cozy spot serves truly authentic Mexican food from Veracruz, and it shows in every bite.

I highly recommend the cochinita pibil and the tinga—both were rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, ideal for a relaxed meal with great company.

Drinks were on point too. I had a margarita that was refreshing and well-balanced, while my companion enjoyed a glass of Latin American wine and absolutely loved it. Their wine selection spans across the continent, which is a unique and thoughtful touch.

Overall, Los Cuates Kitchen is a fantastic place I’ll definitely return to. Next time, I’m excited to try their breakfast menu!

I’m really not sure how this place has a 4.9 stars. My cevice was dry, literally dry. I’ve never in my life seen that before. The red and green salsas in the bottle were just not good. The picadillo tasted like meatballs. Wasn’t a fan of the salsa that came with the chips and salsa either. My guisado was ok but it was so thick, and it came out warm, not hot. Also had tacos and I had to ask for the red and green salsa. I didn’t even know they had it until I saw it on another table.

A hidden gem right off oak lawn and maple!

There is indoor and patio seating. For it being August, we were hesitant to sit outside but the fans made for a PERFRCT patio evening.

We were immediately greeted with ice waters and our server was super attentive.

App: chips and guacamole. The chips were hot, fresh, and crispy. The guac was a classic taste and perfect start to our meal.

Drink: there is a good cocktail menu, beer menu and wine menu. Star cocktails were not super sweet, which I appreciated. Just enough to hit the spot.

Meals:
-mix and match tacos and enchiladas verdes.
We thought the tacos were going to be street taco size but were pleasantly surprised when they came out. The carnitas and barbacoas were a classic. The cochinitas was my favorite! If you like a hit of spice, this is perfect.
The enchiladas verdes was also delicious- the sides of black beans and rice were different in a sense they they felt lighter compared to other restaurants which I liked.

All in all for the price we paid and the quality of the food, it was a great experience! Will be back again, FOR SURE.

Each day of the week they have daily specials as far as food and drink combos, drink carafes and bottled wines, so be on the look out for those!

This is a new favorite restaurant. Came here for our weekly Taco Tuesday outing and the food, drinks, and service were great. The restaurant has a great vibe with nice patio seating on a quite street.

One of the best hidden gems in Dallas! This cute little place had the best service hands down. The servers literally called us family and treated us as if we were guests in their house! Atmosphere was beautiful and quaint. Definitely homey vibes. The food was amazing. I had the birria tacos and they did not disappoint. My wife had the bowl and it was equally delicious. This place is a 10/10 def recommend and would come back!

Provides a charming ambiance, especially with its inviting patio. Our visit, however, coincided with a quiet evening due to the heat, leaving the patio notably empty. The most significant detractor of the night was the sluggish service in getting drinks and food to our table.

For a party of three, with two appetizers, three entrees, and six adult beverages, the bill came in at nearly $300, which felt a bit steep for the overall experience. On a high note, the kitchen absolutely nailed the rare-plus ribeye steak, cooked to perfection. Otherwise, the dishes were as expected. Despite the slow service and price point, we’ll likely return to see if the service improves on a busier night.
