The serving size on these plates is huge, so I would definitely say it’s worth every penny. With that being said, it’s not cheap. The have many options for you to try, and multiple flavors for you to choose from. This particular time, we picked the Cajun fish and the butter shrimp. Now these plates also include, bell peppers, tomatoes and a huge serving of garlic bread. Taste is amazing, and worth the wait. Parking is plentiful, and it’s the view is amazing. Weekends can be hectic, and the wait can be long. So get there early and enjoy the food.

I originally gave one star but after thinking through I am giving two stars.

So I went to this place 2 weeks ago.
I left review on San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant on the location separately.(1 star)

From this restaurant(fish market, more like), I bought grilled fish and grilled shrimp plate. Fish was fresh and it was great. But the rest was not. When the fish went on the grill, we were told it would take 50 minutes. I was like,,, what?! 50? or 15?! He said 50 min because the fish is big so it would take long time…. Okay, pues ni modo… Then not even 20 min later my fish was ready. But the fish was bigger than the one we bought. LOL. Seems it grew. Clearly it was not ours but, hey, we ain’t complaining if it’s upgrade. Unfortunately, there was no taste at all. It was pure “grilled fish”…. Went back and let them know it had no taste. They gave us lemons and garlic butter…. Well, obviously fish was not tasty enough that we decided to take home and season it ourselves.

Shrimp plate. Dude! Pouring so much oil does not make the plate any tastier or tasteless than it is…. I remember I used to visit this San Pedro area and ate similar shrimp plate but clearly that was a thing of the past. Unfortunately, it was nothing like the great plate that I remembered… The dish had too much oil and clearly I expected too much from ordinary citizen who happened to be given “a chef” title. This dish also, I had to pack it up and re season at home to truly enjoy and get my money worth it.

By the way, the horchata next to my grilled fish plate cost $10 and super dilited. Ridiculous and What a rip off. (nothing to do with this review but just warning you not to waste money on this thing. )

Again, fish was fresh so it was great but make sure you take it home and cook it yourself…✌️

I will never come back to this place.

Food used to be good but recently the food is a bit overpriced, bland and tasteless. Could not taste any garlic bread from the garlic bread I ordered. Fried shrimp did not taste like anything noticeable despite using hot sauce, lemons and ketchup. The shrimp platter was decent.

The only good part about this place is the freshness of the food as its cooked to order and the portion sizes. It’s seems they believe the portion sizes will compensate for their lack of seasoning and flavor of the food.

On a side note the last 2 times I ate here the fried shrimp made my stomach hurt. If you are looking for tasty seafood this place is not it. However, if you want big portion sizes, fresh food and are willing to compromise the taste and flavor of the food then I guess this might be place for you. Beware of the prices though. For anyone wondering I spent a total of $145 excluding beverages.

Sits on the water, not fancy. But… The food is amazing. Crabby fries, amazing! The cream crab soup, excellent. The crab cake sandwich and the Quesadilla were also really good.
If you want fancy, this isn’t your place. If you want great food, it’s a must try.

Food is always fantastic…and it’s outdoors without a ton of people during the week. Perfect place to grab a socially-distanced bite. We got the combo plate, some roasted corn, and an extra piece of the fantastic garlic bread. It was enough food for two adults and 4 kids with a little bit left over. As our five-year old said during our meal, “the food here is bomb!”

Too bad this place will be closing down for a couple of years for remodel/rebuild. That’s why we went. Will miss it. The best seafood! And so much on your plate! I had 3 meals from my $24 combo plate! Plus we had a good time. There were a couple of thousand folks there…becuz they are closing down…so the wait time was over an hour. But they handled it so well. Will be watching for the grand reopening!

Above average for this type of place. I had the combo with scallops, shrimp and oysters. A good portion of each and I am now stuffed. The beer was a bit spendy but the food was great. It’s my second time here and I’ll be back.

If you want to eat something really fresh go to San Pedro Crusty Crab!
Where you can choose a fish and they cook it for you at the moment. The wait time for food delivery is fast when it is something fresh like oysters. if you choose a grilled or fried fish it is between 15 minutes to 30 minutes. They also have many options for kids, like burgers or fries.

For the combination plate with an extra half pound of shrimp for 2 people. It was way more than enough food. We got there pretty early on a Sunday and there was barely a wait. You can order food inside the fish market or outside at the window. The food was delicious. You can order lemons and hot sauce separately.

We ate at San Pedro Fish Market when Ports o’ Call still existed, and we decided to try this place again based on reviews here and their website. I knew the present location is temporary since a new development is underway, but we were misled and fooled by the photos posted here and elsewhere that shows a metal-covered, wharf-like building that has an old-time ambiance. That is not at all what we found on August 31. It was about 90 degrees and we found only outside picnic tables with umbrellas, all sitting in a dirt lot. No water misters, no fans, just baking in the hot sun with patchy shade. The kitchens are square temporary buildings and servers take orders and carry the food back out. We chose not to go into this fenced, gated lot because the big bouncers at the gate said the wait was 1 1/2 hours, and this was at 3:30 pm. There was no way we were going to wait in the sweltering sun only to be seated in hot, dusty conditions at a picnic table. I have no doubt the food is still good, but the surroundings are terrible and I feel cheated that there is no such building as the one shown on this website and other online locations. Ambiance is being promised that doesnt exist. We may give it a try when the new delayed development is completed, but not till then.
