Finally made it here after wanting to try this place for a long time — and it did not disappoint. I was so hungry when I arrived I ordered way more than I normally would… and didn’t even manage to take photos before digging in.
I had the bean and ham soup, french fries, and the bacon breakfast sandwich, plus a chocolate croissant and a chicken pot pie to go. Everything was delicious. The bean and ham soup was super tasty— today was the last day they were serving it since the menu changes often, but wow, I’d eat that regularly if I could.
The chicken pot pie was fantastic: crisp, flaky puff pastry with large chunks of chicken and great flavor. Even after heating it hours later. Hands down my favorite thing I ordered was the chocolate croissant. If you love a really good chocolate croissant, this one is top-tier.
Customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, brought our food out to the table, and when I asked for aioli on the side and it came on the sandwich, they fixed it quickly and kindly — no hesitation.
The only small note is seating — it was completely full when we arrived, and we were lucky to snag a table as people were getting up. We may have just hit a rush, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re dining in.
Delicious food, great service, I’ll absolutely be back!

Easy 5 stars for this excellent bakery. They have plenty of unique pastries, and a good array of coffee choices. We loved the mushroom quiche and the bacon egg sandwich. The place gets busy mid-morning, despite having plenty of space to seat. Staff is friendly and the kitchen is fast.

Truly excellent bakery and cafe. Many good things but croissants are really top notch. It’s hard to beat a croissant in Paris… but these come close. I would rank these as tied for the best croissants I’ve had in the US with the Cream Pan bakery in Tustin CA. The Sausage and egg breakfast sandwich, which is made with one of the croissants, is to die for!

Wow. This place is exceptional. Every single item, whether a pastry, sandwich, or drink is meticulously thought through and executed. I honestly don’t know how they accomplish making so many beautiful and unique items each day. I’m just blown away. Each item is a work of art AND tastes amazing. I’ve been here around 10 times and each time the experience is a delight with different menu items to choose from. Their outdoor area is especially beautiful and relaxing. The owner and everyone else working are so kind and helpful. A few highlights: many cafes in the city were featuring strawberry matcha lattes this summer. After trying many of them, the strawberry rhubarb matcha latte from Crust and Crumb is just by far the best. Meyer lemonade: amazing. Any croissant: amazing, perfectly crisp and flakey. Bacon breakfast sandwich: amazing, perfect blend of savory and sweet. Chocolate orange babka knot: please try this if you like orange flavored things, it’s amazing the orange flavor they manage to accomplish. Lastly, thank you to all the people working hard to make this place so special!

I love this bakery! Crust & Crumb is a gem in Louisville! I visit almost every weekend for either breakfast or lunch. Their American Breakfast is hearty and flavorful. I always take a loaf of one of their awesome rotating flavors of sourdough home. Love the jalapeño and cheddar! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Crust & Crumb is hands-down one of the best neighborhood bakeries in Louisville. Tucked into Norton Commons/Prospect area, it’s got that perfect cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger whether you’re grabbing a quick breakfast or settling in for a lazy morning.

The American breakfast options are solid and satisfying—think hearty, well-executed classics that hit the spot every time. But the real standout is their quiche—flaky, flavorful crust with generous fillings that make it feel like a step above your average spot. Pair it with their excellent coffee or one of their killer pastries, and you’re set.

The atmosphere is a huge plus. Inside it’s warm and inviting, but what really sets it apart is the outdoor setup. In summer, the patio is lovely for people-watching and enjoying the fresh air. Come winter, they heat it up so you can still sit outside comfortably with a hot drink and fresh-baked goods—no need to huddle inside when it’s cold.

Service is friendly, the place stays clean, and everything feels made with real care. If you’re in the area or looking for a reliable go-to bakery cafe, Crust & Crumb is absolutely worth it. I’ll be back regularly—highly recommend!

I love having Crust and Crumb Bakery right in the neighborhood. Being able to order online ahead of time and swing by for pickup is so convenient. The staff is attentive, always kind and friendly, which makes every visit feel welcoming. I love, love, love the scones— especially the new to the menu strawberries and chocolate flavor. So good! This place is a gem.

Have you been? You need to go!

Especially during the gorgeous alfresco dining season!

Every visit I make to Crust & Crumb is such a delight. Everything about this place is BEAUTIFUL…

The aesthetic ~ inside and out.
The coffee beverages.
The food and bakery items.
The service.
The people.

Today I enjoyed their Summer Minestrone with Pesto soup and an iced sugar free vanilla lavender latte. (YES, they have sugar free lavender syrup!)

Couldn’t have loved it more. Thank you, Crust & Crumb…

Cheers to making my day a little extra special!

Went to Crust & Crumb for the first time today and loved it! They were busy, but it was still easy to find a table. The staff was kind and knowledgeable about both the pastry case and the drink menu.
I ordered the Valentine’s Day cookie butter latte and a chocolate croissant — TO. DIE. FOR. Absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back.
It was a bit loud, but that’s expected with a full cafe. They were also sold out of half of their pastries by the time I went, so next time I’ll come earlier to grab more goodies!

Great atmosphere and a well-organized setup. Highly recommend!
