Several friends and I have went to Crumpets once a week for 16 years plus. We have solved many world problems in our discussions at lunch. Really! I feel we have enough time in to let you know we have overall been very pleased. It is now under new management and we are hoping there will be local support. It is definitely an asset to Genoa and helps with the uniqueness of the community. We are fortunate we have people that will dive into smaller retail business. The new owner is willing to listen to your suggestions and wants you to have an enjoyable experience. Take time to give Crumpets a try. It is a relaxing experience and the food is great. We thank all of our businesses who have invested in Genoa.

Passing through and decided to stop for lunch. What a fantastic stop it was! The owner is an absolute delight. Very friendly and positive. The decor says “authentic old-time tea room”. The food was great and the portions were very large! I didn’t experience a single negative here and I look forward to coming by again the next time I’m near Genoa!

I have been traveling from Schaumburg to Genoa to grab lunch at Crumpet’s for a few years now. I am more than pleased with not only the food at Crumpets but also the service and atmosphere. While I live in an area with innumerable coffee houses, restaurants, and cafes, Crumpet’s offers something special that just keeps me coming back! The recent change in management has been a positive change in my opinion as well. The owner made sure my service was quick and efficient, however she still made time to come over and get to know my family and I. This friendly gesture was just one example of the fine customer service put forth by Crumpet’s. I would strongly urge anyone who has not yet visited Crumpet’s to make the trip and stop in!

Been going to Crumpets here, several times a year for many years. Very disappointed in new management/service/food quality. Hope the new people will go back to the “old” ways of unique food, professional service, and availability of menu items. Will give them another try in a few months.

An enjoyable lunch with ample time to visit with old friends. So sad to see this quaint place close its doors. Small towns should support their own small town businesses. The best in all your future eblndeavors. The wait staff was kind and helpful.

As a tea room it is not overly fussy. It not only does traditional teas but also does luncheon with tea so the man in your life can eat real soup and sandwiches, not just dainty things. The tea room also allows small children, as long as they stay seated and don’t run around. Proprietors are friendly and engaging. If you like the idea but don’t like tea, they also serve coffee.
