Reviews
The food was pure comfort. We had the lamb biryani which was rich and deeply satisfying along with butter chicken, cheese naan, and garlic naan. Everything was spot on and absolutely delicious.
If you’re Indian, from the subcontinent, or Arab or Middle Eastern, you will not be disappointed at all. They are also happy to adjust the spice levels exactly to your liking.
What made the experience even better was the service. Super welcoming, polite, and genuinely kind even though we arrived just before closing time. A fantastic find and a perfect change of pace in Florence.
The main courses, including rich lentil curry and creamy paneer in tomato gravy, were full of depth and tasted just like a high‑end restaurant in India.
Each plate arrived looking like it was carefully styled, from the colorful chaat topped with yogurt, chutneys, and fresh onions to the neatly folded papad cones served with sauces.
The dining area felt cozy and elegant, with a calm atmosphere that allowed for relaxed conversation over a slow meal.
Combined with friendly service and a comfortable environment, Crown of India is a place that invites you to stay, savor, and truly enjoy your meal.
The food was very delicious and came out very quickly. Everything was fantastic, highly recommend
What a delightful find! Crown of India completely exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a warm, inviting ambiance that instantly makes you feel welcome and relaxed.
We ordered Paneer Masala, Mix Pakora, Dal Tadka, and Aloo Gobi—every single dish was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly spiced. The portions were generous, and the quality was top-notch. As vegetarians, we were thrilled by the impressive variety of vegetarian options available—plenty to choose from without feeling limited.
And I have to give a special shoutout to the Pista Lassi—my first time trying pistachio lassi, and I’m officially obsessed! It was creamy, refreshing, subtly nutty, and the perfect way to cool down after the flavorful curries.
Their service was slightly slow but very attentive.
For an Indian restaurant to be filled with mostly Indians is a great sign of the quality of food.
If you like Indian food I recommend you eat here
