Last minute reservation open up so we got lucky and went for dinner. Server Jake was super. Food was good though not great. Steak cook well but there’s are better steak places. Sushi was good but there are better sushi places. The view is amazing.
The starting complimentary cocktail was nice touch. Ride up the elevator was fun. Bar area while waiting for our table is great idea. Just think that it would be better if checking in downstairs then hostess waiting by the elevator to walk us to our table would be better.

Valentine’s brunch at Crown Block was such a beautiful and memorable experience — elevated, festive, and surprisingly very family-friendly.

From the moment you arrive at the top of Reunion Tower, the panoramic Dallas views set the tone. The space feels bright, modern, and welcoming, making it just as comfortable for families as it is for a special occasion celebration.

The food stations were thoughtfully curated and high quality across the board. The seafood selection featured fresh, beautifully prepared sushi and poke, with clean flavors and excellent presentation. Everything felt refined and intentional without being overwhelming.

The dessert and candy bar was truly over the top in the best way. Stunning displays, incredible desserts, and a full candy selection made it feel festive, fun, and interactive — especially for kids. It added a playful element that made the entire brunch feel celebratory and unique.

This is my first bad review. Please choose to go somewhere else when visiting downtown Dallas. I don’t mind paying high prices but I expect high-quality food. This was not it. We ordered the cowgirl ribeye and the Wagyu sirloin. Both of them were overcooked, we ordered medium it was more medium well which matters when you’re paying $80 for a steak. Ordered the trio sides and had carrots broccolini and the fries. Broccolini and fries were OK… The carrots were not hardly cooked at all. To be known for a steakhouse it’s one of the worst steaks I have had. It’s really an embarrassment to have a Michelin rating. Also the restaurant does not rotate like in some searches you may find online. It stopped rotating in 2020 when the restaurant changed ownership. So now you are left with a lot of bars to block your view. Go somewhere else with a rooftop view experience. The only thing good at this place is the service.

Crown Block is what I would call a once in a lifetime dining experience. Something to note, you order for the entire meal at the beginning, so rattled off the below in one go. I enjoyed this aspect, as this restaurant truly has something for everyone, from the immaculate sushi bar where I got the hand rolls (spicy tuna, scallop, & yellowtail) to the Caesar salad which was top tier. Next the ibericó ribs were enjoyed for my first time and they were spectacular.

After that, I tried the 2 oz Wagyu hot stone which is prepared Tableside with ponzu sauce and cucumber. This is something I would recommend and a true highlight of the meal. For entrees, the filet was ordered and I got a double order of lamb chops (8 total) the 3 sides were broccolini, roasted carrots and the potatoes which were stellar.

To close the meal, key lime pie was enjoyed along with espresso martini.

Our server was great and very intentional with our meal starting with cold to hot and we had a great conversation with all wait staff. Was made to feel special during a celebratory evening and this was a night to remember.

Thanks team!

If you haven’t experienced Crown Block, you’re missing out on a true top-tier dining experience.
From the moment you pull up, it’s first-class. Friendly valet, warm greeting at the base of the tower, and a Ranch Water in hand while you ride up the elevator. The doors open to a stunning wine wall, and just steps away is that breathtaking Dallas skyline behind the bar. I’ve been three times (and somehow always end up on the Oak Cliff side ), but honestly there’s no bad seat in the building.
The service staff works like a well-oiled machine — seamless, attentive, and intentional. You can tell they take pride in every detail.
Now let’s talk food.
My favorite drink? The Crown Block Berry — smooth, balanced, and dangerously easy to sip.
The Salmon Aburi was perfect for someone like me who doesn’t eat raw sushi. Lightly seared, flavorful, and inclusive without pushing me out of my comfort zone.
The crab cakes? Unreal. About 95% crab with barely any filler. The sauce was rich, warm, and unforgettable. I would order them to-go four times a week if that were an option.
For the main event, my partner and I split the Cowgirl Ribeye — and when I say perfection, I mean it. They even presented the steak to us before cooking, which was such a classy touch. It came out cooked exactly right, served with a whole pepper and an onion jam that elevated every bite. We added the signature Crown Block sauce, and it tasted like a homemade A1 — but crafted with love and depth. Absolute game-changer.
The sides sealed the deal. The fries were unlike anything I’ve ever had — almost like an edible straw filled with mashed potatoes. Crispy outside, soft and creamy inside. And the mac & cheese? Comfort food done right.
For dessert, we had the Society Cake. Sensational. Something I didn’t even know I needed in my life — and I still think about it. The way the banana blends with the layers of chocolate is a masterclass in balance. Pro tip: make sure you get a little of each layer in every bite.
This is the kind of place I will continue to make my business to visit — as much as my wallet allows. Perfect for celebrations, date nights, or just reminding yourself you deserve something exceptional.
10/10. Every. Single. Time. ✨

Omggggggg I just remembered that one little piece of bread was so amazing it should be a felony to tease someone like that

Dinner was AMAZING! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was just as wonderful. Our waiter, Scott, was incredibly helpful and gave us great suggestions that did not disappoint. The blackberry mocktail is a must-try — so good! Food was 10/10. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Our evening was fantastic! The food was wonderful and our waiter Scott was informative and helpful. The only suggestion I would make is to lower the music volume and maybe less techno style music. A soft jazz would have just topped off the atmosphere.

The kind of American Restaurant where reviewers just might take cheap shots and make poor reviews due to a lack of manners, fine dining experience, and certainly have not worked in the service industry.

The cuisine is a mixture of Asian and American food that sincerely accommodates everyone. In fact, the menu tries too hard. The service is on point, completely thorough, and utterly fair and competent. For example, the included gratuity is a management decision of the business operations – don’t be silly and blame the server. This aspect was well pointed out and disclosed. And service was very prompt. Finally, the atmosphere is clearly the absolute best you could find in the city where Pegasus flies and western luxury resides. Again, if anything is wrong here it’s being over accommodating to the everyday human that will sadly turn distinction into a doormat.

Navigate your way from the public transport trains (which is very cool but lost on Americans who never leave their own counties, much less see Europe with non judgmental eyes), go into the Hyatt hotel, and down below you will find a reception desk. There is a dedicated elevator to the restaurant. Pro tip – there is a tunnel under the railway if you walk from downtown!

Enjoy it, don’t step on it, especially when you don’t understand it. And if it’s too much money, just be honest that is an I issue.
