What a horrible experience my wife and I had on Sunday 13th August. We arrived at 11:10am. We waited to be seated – all tables inside and out were occupied – this is usually a sign of a good meal ahead. At Crossroads Diner it is a sign that they do not have an efficient way of dealing with their customers. We had a table in less than 5 minutes. Then it went downhill! Our order was taken at 11:20 – two omelets coffee and a tea. The coffee and tea came then nothing, not even a word of an update on the food. At 12:05 a coffee refill came followed by the food at 12:10. I got two bites into my vegetarian omelet and found a piece of sausage (which I can push aside) followed by a long black hair which I could not stomach. My wife ate her tasteless omelet and I sat not eating. And I sat and sat. No waitress came and at 12:35 I got up and took my plate to the checkout. This got the waitresses attention and she asked was I ready to pay. I said yes but there was a problem. I showed her my plate and she apologized and took the price of the omelet and tea off the bill.

Got a reuben no corned beef, chicken tenders with onion rings and a side of beets. reuben was totally underwhelming but the main disappointment was with the chicken tenders and onion rings, the tenders was mostly filling and the onion rings were barely passable.

I have nothing to add that everyone else hasn’t already said. Come in when it’s busy and prepare to spend half hour afternoon waiting for your food and getting zero refills on drinks the entire time. It’s pretty clear that this place has too many customers and too little staff. Perhaps consider paying your staff more so you can retain employees and avoid pissing your customers off. I bet the owner complains to everyone that will listen that nobody wants to work while paying staff as little as possible.

This place is good! We went early in the morning about 7:30 and it wasn’t busy at all. It’s a small place, so I do recommend going earlier than later. Will definitely return again.

For a low key diner it really is 5 stars. Everything I’ve ever tried has been delicious with excellent ingredients and served hot off the grill. Hands on owner and wonderful wait staff. You may have to wait for a table but I’m sure you’ll enjoy the food. We usually can’t resist the rueben.

Hearty breakfast choices. Great food. Reasonably priced. Great service but get there early. It was busy by 8 AM!

Didn’t even get to go in. I went with about 11 of my friends. We called 45min ahead to get a reservation. They said they were able to get us a table and reserve a spot for us. When we got there, it seemed we were not welcomed from the beginning. When we got there they immediately were like ” oh sorry you’ll have to wait 20min”. Which we understood slightly since we had a lot of people, but at the same time we did call ahead. Then as we were waiting, elderly customers just sat and stared at our group. We went to the side to not take up a lot of space while we were waiting. One person made their truck beep and we thought they were leaving but it turned out he just wanted us away from his truck. We were like 3 feet away from it and just waiting for a table. Then we moved away and were next to another truck( it was pretty packed, not many places to stand) and then that truck started honking as if someone was getting in, but they never did. Customers stared at us like we weren’t welcome there. We waited for a table for over an hour. By the time they actually said they had a table ready, half our group left because they felt uncomfortable and were already starving by that point. So we said thank you but we are headed out to another place. Also, breakfast ends at 1130am. So by the time we were actually able to get in, we wouldn’t have been able to eat breakfast.

Stopped with a party of 7. Seated immediately and waited 90 minutes for an undercooked cheeseburger. 4 of our party got their food in 60 minutes while the 3 of us watched other people seated after us get served. Waitress never checked on us, never refilled our drinks, or gave us any updates. Watched numerous people leave.

Service was extremely slow. Beware of surcharges. Ordered a Reuben…asked for the thousand island dressing (,which comes with it) on the side and was charged $1.50 extra.
