First time here. Heard good things so we planned to meet up with my oldest and his wife. Was not disappointed. I had two eggs, scrambled with sausage links, home fries and English muffin. My girlfriend had French toast. I don’t remember what the kids had, but they were happy. Our drinks came in cans, which was cool, but not sure if you get free refills. Still, good homestyle cooking with friendly service.

Such a cute place. Sat at the bar immediately after walking in which was great. Had French toast and bacon. And my husband had pancakes, eggs and sausage. Everything was cooker perfectly. Staff was super friendly and managed tables very well. Highly recommend for a quick breakfast!

Food was okay, service was a bit slow, women’s bathroom has cobwebs and out of toilet paper.
Cheese was moldy, but they took a couple bucks off. Pic attached of that.

The Railroad Crossing Diner is a gem of a diner on Route 14 in Dundee, NY. They have options for breakfast that I have never seen for starters. The one that caught my husband’s and my eye was the garbage omelette! Ham, sausage, bacon, cheese, onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes , spinach and we asked them to throw our corn beef hash in there. Mmmm. My husband requested no mushrooms. I had a 2-egg omelette. My husband had 3. Phenomenal. It was the best omelette my husband I have ever had, and we’ve tested many lol. There are choices for bread that I have never seen either: raisin, Italian, 12 grain, and all the regulars as well. Fun little, nicely decorated with the railroad theme, and a history of the railroad on the front of the menu cover. The railroad crossing is just feet from the diner. Wonderful hometown, professional, efficient staff and fun regular older customers. One regular older gentleman said to us as we entered “7 minutes from the time you are seated for your meal to come.” He was proud of his hometown diner, sipping coffee at the counter. This place was hopping… apparently for hours. The staff were still smiling, pleasant, and got right to taking care of customers, and flipping over tables for the next customers. They keep the place immaculate and tidy, creamers and sugars refilled constantly. This diner really has the diner experience down to a science. You really need to stop in and enjoy the entire experience. Beautiful memories are made there. FYI no cards accepted, cash only…but they do have an ATM machine right there as soon as you enter.

Was here years ago it was better than. Not anymore the prices are too high for just diner food. NO pickles with my sandwich which is awful as I love pickles.

We were on our way for a weekend in the Finger Lakes and wanted to stop for lunch somewhere – this diner was the perfect spot! The home fried potatoes in particular were so so so good. We both got the breakfast platter and left happily full! They are cash/check only but have an ATM inside. Staff was extremely friendly, and the food was very affordable. Highly recommend!

It is a cute little diner. I got a breakfast sandwich and it was pretty good just a little too greasy but not bad. The people working were very kind but extremely unorganized. Almost gave us a different customers order twice and gave us the wrong check. Waited quite a bit for someone to take our order but once we actually ordered it went quicker. A few simple fixes to the organization and I would give it a higher rating

Small town atmosphere. I’ve got a perfect Ham and bean soup and very fresh salad with a tasty grilled chicken. It’s a great choice for getting tasty and fresh food when you are traveling.
