Crooked Spur is Oakdale’s unapologetic hometown dive bar. Open since 2022, you’ll find us at 9831 Valley Home Rd on Hwy 120. We’re the only bar in town with three pool tables, plus darts and outdoor seating for kicking back and relaxing with friends in a laid-back atmosphere. Weekly events keep things lively: Karaoke Mondays, Line Dancing Tuesdays, Ladies’ Night Wednesdays, and our Thursday Pool Tournament. Weekends switch it up with either live music on Friday or a DJ on Saturday—check our socials for the lineup. Latino dude who worked in the bar walked up to me and crushed my drink in my hand for no reason, he was swatting peoples drinks out of their hand before he came up to me. He needs to be fired. I will come back to make sure to make sure he is reprimanded for his ridiculous behavior. I have too much going good for me to react with force. I will handle this this sophisticated way.

My own personal experience? Was great. Loved the bartender. She was understanding. She never let me feel she was too busy for us. She was a great host. She was always there when I needed something. I took my girl out for a date, first to eat, then to the crooked spur. We were looking for a pool place. Pool just so happened to be free when we went. Woah! Couldn’t be more pleased with the service i received and the deal I got. Not only me. But my lady was super happy as well. Place was date worthy. We had so much fun. It was worth our time. I can’t say enough great things about our experience there.

Nice little bar off the highway. It’s definitely a down home country bar. Seems to be a locals place as alot of people seem to know everyone. They have three pool tables in the back that are great and the cues are great as well. They also have some dart boards. They have a digital juke box you can pay to play some tunes. They also have a nice outdoor area that on Friday they had a person cooking tacos out there. Bartenders are attentive and friendly. They also have other events thru the week. I noticed they had a sign for.karaoke on Mondays. I’m definitely going ro have to go check that out.

Bar was dead, drinks were expensive. Playing darts was cheap.
Edited 11/11/23: We have been back, and had much better experiences. Changed to 4 stars (from 3). Monday night karaoke is fun, and Friday nights often have music. Pricing at the bar seems to fluctuate with the bartender, as our first experience (on a Sat night) was much more expensive per drink than now, but even Monday and Friday nights seem inconsistent with pricing. Service on Monday and Friday nights is better than Saturday.

Great place to have fun, gather with friends and make new friends. Pool, darts, live music, karaoke and open mike. It’s a bar so no food, but you can bring your own. Very reasonable beer prices.
