Wow! This place is incredible! I’m a very picky eater and a tough food critic, and this spot absolutely blew me away. Everything is cooked fresh to order and served piping hot and delicious! The chicken is tender, all white meat with no fat—just perfectly crispy breading and amazing flavor. Every sauce I’ve tried has been fantastic, and the sides are just as good—the macaroni and cheese is creamy and rich, the fried pickles are perfectly crisp, and the fries are delicious.
I usually stop by around lunchtime during the week, and the lady who works there is always so polite and kind. She’s constantly cleaning, cooking, or stocking, always smiling, and giving friendly order updates. You can tell she really takes pride in her work and cares about every customer.
I highly, highly recommend this place—it’s hands-down some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had!

The chicken’s spice level was good but the chicken itself was overcooked. Unfortunately, about a third of my fries tasted like dirt and left me trying to wash the taste out of my mouth. Overall, I felt like I paid too much for what I received.

Crimson Coward is the spot for halal hot chicken! Their food is fresh, never frozen, and always hits the spot.
We really enjoyed the spicy Crimson Sandwich, the loaded Joey-style fries, and those incredible chicken & waffles. Their smash burger is a must-try too! That Crimson onion is hands down the best we’ve had, even better than Outback and Texas Roadhouse. The flavor and crispiness are next level!
Shoutout to Dayana, who did an amazing job helping us out. She was super friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.

Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The fried chicken here is definitely the highlight — freshly made to order, so it takes a little time, but totally worth the wait. Super crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. You can tell they don’t cut corners.
It is a bit on the pricey side for a lunch spot, but the quality of the chicken helps justify it. Not a lot of bells and whistles overall, but if you’re craving hot fried chicken done right, this place hits the spot.
Would come back again, maybe when I’m not in a rush.

Good chicken – NOT SPICY – I paid an extra dollar for the hottest spice level and I’ve definitely had plain mayo that is spicier – there were hints of black pepper but there was nothing remotely close to actual spiciness. Easily the least spicy chicken in Northern Virginia with their highest level being on par with the Mild level at any other place.
The chicken itself was actually delicious with a crunchy breading and nice bun. The crimson onion was great and a unique menu item. The fried pickles were a very generous serving size for the price.
Overall great food if you’re looking for fried chicken but definitely should be called Nashville Hot style as it simply is not.

The praise part is that obviously the food is delicious. The chicken was very very juicy, the fries were sprinkled with their mild seasoning so that gave them some good flavor as well.
Though that’s the problem, is that the place is just ‘good’. With so many hot chicken style places popping up, I feel like you need to differentiate yourself from your competition, and I just didn’t get anything here that would make me say ‘okay this place is a cut above the rest.’. Yes the seasoning was good, but that’s it. Yes the fries are good, but that’s it.
If you’re looking for a good chicken place, give this place a try because it checks off all the boxes. I’ll have to give this place a second try for accuracy, but the best words that I can use to describe this place is just, ‘good.’

There are a lot of chicken sandwich joints around and this one is up there near the top! Love the chicken and waffles option, the slaw salad topped with chicken was amazing- even the slaw has a surprising amount of heat that really sneaks up on you. Love the choices they offer. Make sure to check out the Secret Off menu items!

This place is horrible. I would never go back. We ordered fried pickles, 2 chicken sandwiches, mac&cheese, fries and tender chicken. First, they mixed up the chicken sandwiches boxes. They put hot spicy sandwich in the medium chicken box. And my daughter screaming on her first bite. Second, the pickle tasted old, very salty and greasy. It not worth $55 of foods.

Place is clean. Smiling faces on the employees. Food takes a little longer to cook since they cook it all as ordered. Stay away from the fried pickles, not so good. Burgers were very greasy. Fries were ok. The Orange sauce was a little on the spicy side. Chicken tenders were good.
