Creole & Sliders Cafe was such a lovely experience! I visited with my sister and niece, both of whom are regulars. I ordered the Shrimp Po’boy; it was so delicious, with the shrimp having a nice crunch and the homemade sauce adding a special touch. Super flavorful! The corn bread is buttery and sweet and the sweet tea has the perfect amount of sweetness to it. The owners were both so kind and attentive. I highly recommend coming here if you want something fresh with a homemade touch. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Super yummy — food!! I definitely recommend stopping by. (:

We really loved our visit here. It’s tucked in a corner of the parking lot with Chappell Brewing. It’s got a surprising amount of seating inside, easily accommodating our group of 9. The food is superb, would highly recommend going on Fridays for the gumbo, but the shrimp and grits as well as the jambalaya are all recommended! It feels as authentic Cajun as you can possibly get in Utah. The staff is extremely friendly and the vibes are great. We will absolutely be back in the near future! And just to add, they are open until 8! Gemini claimed they closed earlier, that is not true, silly AI. They are open Tuesday-Saturday 11AM-8PM

Don’t sleep on this gumbo! We came in today (Friday- I believe the only day they have it) and had the chicken and sausage gumbo. Perfectly smooth, savory and gently but delightfully spicy. Amazingly cozy meal for a winter afternoon. We also got the muffuletta which had the nicest tang from the creole mustard and olive salad. Veggies were fresh and bread was yummy. Also highly recommend the cornbread which was incredibly moist and flavorful. So happy we found real creole food in SLC finally!! ❤️❤️

Also, the owners we so nice. Very hospitable and lots of fun Utah football history on the walls.

Went in for the first time today cus I was desperate for some gumbo and I didn’t wanna have to make it myself. I haven’t been able to find a good gumbo in salt lake until today at this place! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! The food was 10/10! I got the gumbo of course & my daughter (who is a picky eater) got the shrimp poboy; and let me tell you she devoured that sandwich! The cornbread was soooo buttery and soft I had to take some back home to have my family try it! Loved it so much it reminded me of back home in FL. The owners were attentive and so so sweet. Definitely recommend❤️‍ I’m telling you they know how to cooook

I’ve only been here three one time, and it was delicious. Friendly people. Frank was in the dining room looking at video b of a live music event that was hosted by them and the brewery across the parking lot. A lot of cool stuff about University of Utah Football here, as Frank played for the v squad back in the day. I had the jambalaya, and it was great! This is my kind of spot. I’ll be back.

Never have I ever, had a better po’boy in SLC.
Shrimp & grits are good. Etouffee is good. Gumbo is good. We will be back for more.
There is no place in Utah to even compare. Go try it for yourself!

This was my first time here and the food was delicious and certainly did not disppoint. I had red beans and rice, along with a house made lemonade. The red beans and rice had the perfect spice level. The sausage in it was really good, too. The owner was super friendly and he recommended the lemonade. I am glad I tried it, it was delicious.
I came on a Saturday night and they had a live band playing jazz music and it was just the right touch.
I definitely we be back and try more of their menu.

Delightful from the moment I walked in! I was warmly greeted by Frank such a kind enthusiastic man! The spoke with Johanna her kindness and passion for great food is evident.

I will be back frequently! Especially on Fridays for the best Gumbo and cornbread. My new favorite peach cobbler.

The owners of this place are phenomenal! The sweetest and most personable people. The gumbo was to *die for* (served only on Fridays). My husband ate in complete silence and didn’t speak until his bowl was empty, which is rare! We will definitely be back.

I was looking for some Cajun Red Beans and Rice and found this gem. I was lucky that it was Friday and that they still had some Seafood Gumbo. Usually they are out however they had some and packed it up for me. The Gumbo with the Red Beans and Rice was so delicious . The cornbread is the best I’ve ever had. I’m so glad to have found this wonderful restaurant. The owners were very accommodating. What a great place for delicious food prepared by a very caring owners. The taste is it if this world.
