Absolutely loved this place!!! Their food is amazing. A huge menu to select from – both food and drinks. Ample seating, mixed vibe- busy and noisy Midwest steakhouse feel downstairs, quiet and relaxed brunch mood upstairs. We tried their Taste of New Orleans – sampler sized entree – all the items were yummy and flavorful. Next, their Canal street redfish – it was stellar, one of the best fish items I have had – so delicious, so flavorful, perfect in all senses. Service was super, her recommendations were apt. Highly recommended place to try good New Orleans cuisine.

Jade, our server, was really cool and attentive. She recommended a local light beer called Paradise, and it was delicious and refreshing—definitely a great suggestion.
Unfortunately, there were a few misses with the food. Two of the grilled bacon oysters had a lot of small shell fragments cooked into them, which made them difficult and unpleasant to eat. I really don’t like when oysters aren’t properly shucked and cleaned—it completely ruins the experience.
The gator bites were very tough to chew and practically begged for seasoning. On a positive note, the duck gumbo was really good and full of flavor. The jambalaya and red beans and rice were just okay, nothing particularly memorable. The chicken Alfredo wasn’t bad, but the chicken itself was a bit dry.
One thing to be aware of is the pricing difference depending on payment method. If you pay with a credit card, it costs a few dollars more compared to paying with cash.

Breakfast food is good but nothing special. Service is a little slow. Coffee tastes like French roast. The cajun potatoes is just frozen potatoes. Go across the street to cafe Beignet for a better breakfast, fresh cajun potatoes and they have a live band all the time.

First Mister COREY our wonderful waiter/ server was Excellent!!! And our night time Manager, we didn’t catch his name. Welcoming hospitality, from the chef that made our Charbroiled oysters, to the cooks in the back, even the young lady that made my expresso martini! 10/10 everything! Great place and Amazing food! Awesome food!!!! Word of advice: the sautéed crab claws are excellent!!! The sauce is the star of the dish, and is DELICIOUS soaked up by the toast. There were quite a few she’ll pieces, so I don’t recommend for children. And word of caution: do not expect the lump claw meat like I did. It is literally the claw tips, but it was still a great dish. But the crabcakes??? HIGHLY recommended!!!!!

It was a bit loud because we were right off Canal but everything else was phenomenal. Our waiter Bilal was so friendly and informative. We did wish the food was a bit more spicier but we were informed they toned it down a bit. I had the stuffed fish. It was so flavorful and a really good portion. I wasn’t a fan of the green beans I dont like my vegetables crunchy. A friend of mine ordered the hot honey chicken which wasn’t hot at all it was sweet and flavorful though. The other friend ordered the Jamabalay pasta 10/10 so, so good! We got crab cakes and oysters for apps and they bother were really good. The crab cakes were small but they came in 2.

Decided to try this while visiting New Orleans for the first time. We arrived during Happy Hour so drinks and appetizers were reasonably priced. Had a liquid Hurricane, they didn’t do frozen and a boudain appetizer. My entree was the stuffed fish which was spicy. Also had bread pudding which I love. Sister had shrimp and grits but didn’t like it after one bite but we noticed later they failed to remove it from our ticket. Brother had the oysters and liked the charbroiled but not the honey flavored.

My friend and I visted after a night on Bourbon. We were seated right away and our orders were taken. Our waiter was really nice, but we waited 2 hours to receive our food because our food was given to the wrong table twice. They said that there was a new waiter, but this was ridiculous. By the time our food came, we got it to go. The oysters were a bog hit and I ended up getting a dozen.

If you are on Canal Street and want to have a great time and eat some amazing food, Creole House is a must! I truly enjoyed the staff and atmosphere. The ribeye was extra tasty and tender! My friend had the grilled oysters and alligator bites she loved all of it! Trust me try them out
