Crenshaw’s is the best! Located in the Omni Barton Hotel, super delicious food. Our Server Brian was awesome and super funny. The food not only looks amazing it tastes even better! Try them out for Yourself if you’re in the Austin area. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I discovered Crenshaw’s about a month ago. It’s turned into a regular spot for us, we’ve been probably 5-6 times now. The burger is so good, truly one of our favorites in Austin. The sweet potato fries are a must to go along with it. We’ve also had the house made chips with pimiento dip, definitely tasty but we usually opt out of the app because the burger is so filling. We love the atmosphere and that we can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful golf course views. We’ve had slower service at times as well as times when the food comes out almost right away – either way it’s not a big deal to us. We enjoy it every single time and feel like we’ve found a GEM of a spot.

I visited this place with friends over the weekend, and while the location was beautiful and the food decent, the service was severely lacking. The food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and we only saw our waiter three times throughout the entire meal. In fact, we saw the person cleaning up more frequently than our own waiter, which speaks volumes about the service we received. At one point, we even had to ask the busser to find our waiter, and yet he still didn’t show up.
I only managed to get one drink refill, and to make matters worse, our waiter neglected to inform us that the bill could only be split among three cards before we started ordering. This was particularly frustrating since I had already spent a significant amount at the resort for a three-day weekend getaway. I deliberately chose something inexpensive from the menu and stuck to drinking soda. Out of the six people in our group, I only knew two, and the others were complete strangers. Due to the waiter’s lack of communication, I ended up paying for more than my fair share, effectively doubling my portion of the bill. The others had ordered drinks and extras, which I ended up covering for people I didn’t even know. To top it off, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to each of the three bills.
Honestly, tipping should reflect the quality of service received. Given that our waiter was largely absent, hiding in the back and chatting with co-workers, I wouldn’t have tipped him what he got from our table. His service was disappointing, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t busy at all—there were only two other tables when we arrived.

I have been to Crenshaw’s more times than I can remember. Out of all the restaurants, this one has the best vibe, food, service and price point. I love the view from the restaurant and patio, and everything that I have had on the menu is top notch. I can’t say enough great things about the service. Everyone is always so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
If I can make a recommendation though, they need to do something about the HVAC system. The temperature doesn’t seem to be regulated and over these past few months it seems to be very warm in there. The HVAC seems very comfortable outside of the restaurant and all throughout the building. But inside it has not been comfortable this summer. I hope they can get someone to address this soon, as it affects the dining experience.
I have worked in the service industry before. It does seem like they always over staff there for the amount of people they get in the restaurant. From the outside looking in, it makes you feel for the staff. But they always keep a smile on, and provide great service.

Enjoyed the burger! Appreciated the option to get half regular fries and half sweet potato fries. Views sitting on the patio were great! Only complaint of the meal was a very lackluster margarita, served in a martini glass, that tasted like warm mixer. Was hoping for a true margarita on my visit to Texas.

This was one of the worst dining experiences my friends and I have ever had. The grilled cheese with brisket had the toughness of a hiking book sole and arrived after a 45 minute wait. We had a waiter who was excellent with one liners but didn’t know how to use the POS machine. He told us it was broken and couldn’t accept credit cards and when we pointed out that the other waitress was taking cards he replied he didn’t know how she was doing it lol. My friend had no bacon in his blt. When the bill came we’re were charged twice for service (20% tips were also included in the bill automatically) and no one could clearly explain the bill. I’d give this place a hard pass if you wanna keep your sanity in Austin.

We were seated pretty quickly, but once we ordered it took an hour for food to get out (it wasn’t really busy). The food was good, albeit overpriced (it’s in a hotel, so… ♂️). My fries were undercooked (even though others in our party were fine), and the service was a little slow. Would I go again? I don’t know. It depends on how much time I have and if I have extra money lying around.
