My husband and I are fairly picky eaters and aren’t interested in Chili’s or Applebee’s-style restaurants (where all the food comes in on the same truck) so we were absolutely THRILLED to find Crazy Train! I appreciate that the sandwiches aren’t prepared with your typical deli meat and are made with REAL sourdough bread because it makes a huge difference. The Turkey Sando is to die for! And I mean it… if I was on death row, that sandwich would be my last meal. My husband and daughter enjoy the chicken wrap equally as much. It’s our absolute favorite place to eat! We live an hour out of Spokane and always stop at Crazy Train whenever we’re in town. I literally crave their food and often pick it up to-go, as well. If you enjoy REAL food that’s prepared with REAL ingredients (and a lot of love), then this is the place for you! The service and atmosphere are also exceptional. We’ve never had a bad experience here. Ever.

Great staff, great food, fun collaborative space. The Gobbler wrap is the best meal under $10 in Spokane.

New fave, stumbled onto this hole in the wall grub spot. Had the black n blue burger, savory, fresh and delicious.
Came back again and had the Pork Rice Bowl, damn tasty and only $13.99!
They got me hooked man, I highly recommend it.

Quaint old building with 3 different businesses featured Inside, derailer coffee, bell weather brew and crazy train.
Food was different with the pickled vegetables and a unique sauce on the chicken wings

I like their open area concept, they not only have Locos restaurant but there is also a brewery and a coffee shop in the same place, unique and convenient in a way. We had 2 orders of the smoked Brisket Sammy, one with potato salad on the side and the other with cowboy beans. The brisket sandwich was tasty, both my husband and my son enjoyed it. We also had side orders of fries and IMO, best tasting fries around. I had the pork BBQ ribs with slaw, ribs is not the typical fall off the bones saucy and messy kind, this one is more dry, flavorwise it’s good but would have prefered my ribs a bit more tender. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and most likely will come back and try other options on their menu.

Fun place, great food. I have been wanting to get a dino rib forever, and this place had it . They have a delicious bbq sauce and their spicy bbq sauce was absolutely delicious. It had the perfect amount spicy to sweet. The fries were really good. The burger was good but a little underwhelming for the price. That being said the staff were excellent and very attentive. The chef even came out to see how we were doing, and we talked about the food , I love that. The Bellweather brewery had an amazing selection of beers . There is also a coffee shop in there, but we didn’t get anything there yet. Over all great experience and we will go back for some more delicious bbq food and yummy drinks.

I’ve been seeing a few posts about this place in Hillyard Locos and their smoked brisket sandwich, so I decided to give it a shot
Orders
Smoked Brisket Sammy, with a side of cowboy beans.
Smoked chicken wings – which came with a dilly ranch sauce and addicting pickles. The crispy wings had a crunchy texture and were very addictive. “Chip skin wings” omg, so freaking good.
Chips and Salsa
Smoked chips are a first for me, and what a good idea they were pretty good
They have an open-concept space that they share with a brewery and a coffee bar. (I’m a coffee lover, and I was thrilled to find out they have a coffee bar) I got a satisfying cup of chai there.
I must come back to try a pulled pork sandwich or smoked chicken. ( and, of course, my favorite crispy chicken wings)
I just wanted to let you know that although it’s not on the menu, the restaurant offers vegan options like Impossible Burger and tofu. So, if you have any vegans in your group, they’ll have something to munch on besides fries.

I love this place! food always tastes excellent like it’s homemade, but in a good way, and very fresh. they make everything there and to order. Place is in downtown Hillyard and is lovely inside – clean and cute. workers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Delicious burger and ribs! And the fries? Sooooo so good! Grabbed a pint of the Grain Shed beer too, which is the best beer I’ve had in town. The renovated space is so cute and cozy as well! Everyone is friendly too which is a major plus. go check it out, you won’t regret it!

Mushy brown avocado on the salad. Would have been better without it.
Good burger w/salad, but pricy.
Excellent pastry.
Ambience is that it doesn’t seem like a real restaurant or cafe.
Wanted to like it and know historic Hillyard very well.
Like the idea of locally sourced food, but, presented poorly.
I don’t know what to say, it was just weird. The whole area seems weird now.
But I don’t know that there’s anything to make it worth it to return.
Great coffee, that’s about it.
It just seems like it’s an area some people want to exploit, or are trying to, but don’t care about it, or even their product really. Hillyard deserves better.
