Experience was warm and welcoming from the time I walked in the door. Was going in for a simple carryout. Ended up sitting and even enjoying a quick margarita. In ordered the Birria Ques (which is on the secret menu) and boy was it delicious. Tender mouth watering beef with the perfect Birria sauce to accompany. A little squeeze of lime and mamamia!

Best authentic Mexican food I have ever had in my life. The queso and guacamole were so fresh and delicious. The tacos and enchiladas were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I love the atmosphere and vibe inside and out on the patio. Our server Kelsey was wonderful and such an angel taking care of our big group of crazy Greeks! To the owner, please come open a location in Illinois! Also, loved the American Pie reference outside of the door- CLASSIC!

This is a great find in Clinton Township. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. We greatly enjoyed the tortilla soup which had fresh ingredients.
We had the fish tacos and chicken fajitas. The dishes came with soup or salad. The entres were large portion sizes and delicious. The chips and salsa were very tasty as well.
The wait staff was attentive and friendly. We also had fried ice cream, which quite frankly is not available at many Mexican restaurants today.
We highly recommend this restaurant especially if you lo e Mexican cuisine!

I went here for dinner last night. It was my first experience here and I was pleasantly surprised. I never expect much going out to dinner anymore because every time the service and food are average to less. It has a quaint, cozy atmosphere. My sever Kailee, was honestly the best server I’ve ever had. Ever. She had a very pleasant personality. When I had a hard time deciding on what to pick for dinner she thoroughly explained what each dish I was thinking about entailed, and asked about what type of dish I was looking for and helped me decide what was best suited to my mood. She gave great added suggestions with our appetizer. She could be working at a 5 star restaurant honestly. The food… was amazing. High quality and fresh. It was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. You could tell care was put into every dish. Literally every dish we got from the appetizer to the meals to the dessert was cooked to perfection. We started with warm chips and salsa. You could tell the chips were homemade and the being warm was a nice touch. We got street corn as an app, and the taste and seasoning were delicious. I got the guaco tacos with chicken. The taste was unbelievably fresh. The chicken cooked well. The tortillas cooked slightly toasted and warm. They were delicious. My bf got the steak fajitas and he said the steak was delicious. Lots of fresh veggies and cheese on top. The dessert was Mexican fried ice cream. The shell was cooked perfectly, crisp and slightly sweet. We had such a good experience. Of course I’ll be back, and I highly recommend going here as it is an unexpected gem!!

Had to edit a previous review I wrote. The food here is good for the most part. My husband and I didn’t care for the soup. The problem was the service. From the time we walked in the vibe was off. The server was awkward and the woman who seats people just kind of stood by our table the entire time. There were a few times she was so close and facing us I looked up and we made eye contact. Extremely uncomfortable. Then we were charged for taco sauce that goes on the tacos we ordered. We come here often for lunch or a quick bite and never have been charged $1.00 for a 2oz portion of taco sauce. Anywhere for that matter but here either. When I asked taco sauce doesn’t come with tacos the answer was no you only get the salsa that is complimentary with chips. I have never seen this in any taqueria they usually have it at the table for you. None the less today we were charged. My husband asked for salsa to go when we boxed our chips (my four year old loves tortilal chips so they were coming with us) and was brought a 2oz cup to go with the chips. They were just giving us bare minimum on everything and we felt the off-putting vibes from walking in. She tried to seat us at a high top table 2 for that matter when I have two very small children. A four and five year old can not sit at a high top table but that’s all they had in the back of the empty restaurant. Yea I peeped that too…. When it’s just my husband and I it’s earlier in the day for lunch, today it was dinner and I had my children with us as well. Not sure the drastic change but every time we go in they are so dead there’s tumble weeds. I don’t appreciate the off putting vibes, attitude and atmosphere. I won’t be back. The whitewashed “crazy gringo” has lost a regular and good customer. I spend $50+ everytime I come so that’s on the staff for losing business. This day and age and everything that’s going on in the world a little respect and kindness goes a long way especially when I’m spending my hard earned money in your establishment. Do better all around. Its bad for business because you just lost a customer which equals what? There ya go $$$$, and it’s bad for your personality. Judging people while running an ethnic restaurant is wild.

Popped in for lunch, and was seated right away. Our food assistant for the afternoon was Matt, and he was an absolute delight. He allowed us time to go over the menu and was very helpful with suggestions. We ordered a few items and everything came out within a decent amount of time. The soup was very good, the shrimp quesadilla was loaded with cheese and vegetables not that much shrimp even though I asked for extra shrimp and the shrimp that I got were a tab bit on the over cooked side. We ordered the tamales and those were ok, they started falling apart as soon I tried to remove it from the casing. The drinks and beef tacos were lovely, and the atmosphere was cool as well. Overall a nice experience for a lunch outing.
