I’m from out of town and I loved this place. The miso soup was hot and delicious. The standard salad was the perfect portion and the dressing was amazing. The unagi Nigri was cooked perfectly and delicious. I got the crying tiger roll (I believe that was the name) and it was amazing. The waitress was cute and attentive. Overall this place was great.

Crazy Fish was fine.
They opened at noon and we arrived at 12:30pm. We were the only patrons dining there, yet it still took quite a long time to get our food. The miso soup came out barely lukewarm, which doesn’t make sense had it been cooked fresh.
I ordered the anago (sea eel), but like last time, they didn’t have any, making me wonder if they actually carry it at all. Instead I got the unagi (freshwater eel), and that was fine. The spicy tofu udon entree was also fine, but nothing I’d particularly crave.
This place is very middle of the road, but for sushi I’ll try other places since they don’t seem to actually carry what’s on their menu.

Hands down, one of the best places on Nob Hill to eat! No contest! The price, the menu and the ambience is just great! I come here with my friends often and always get the same waiter and he is literally so awesome. I always get sushi or a Bento Box and it never disappoints!

I previously gave a well-deserved negative review, and stayed away for over a year. I really wanted to give them another chance, and I’m glad I did. I ordered spicy tuna hand rolls, and albacore sushi, duplicating my previous order. I was very glad I did. The quality of the fish was excellent, maybe the best I’ve had in recent years, and the spicy tuna hand rolls were exceptional. I’m glad I tried Crazy Fish again. I will be ordering again soon.

I think this place might be short staffed. It took us a while to have a waitress take our food order. We also weren’t offered additional drinks as is typical in most restaurants. It was a Saturday night and about a third of the tables were vacant.
The Thai Tea was little creamy for my liking, but that’s just personal preference.
The sushi was exceptional though. We had a Dragon Roll and Teriyaki Bento Box. I feel like the Dragon Roll was a bit larger in size than typically served at other local sushi places.
Would return but hope for more staff. Our waitress was good when she came by though.

I always order from here as it’s my favorite sushi place but after placing an online order for pickup a mishap happened and our order was given to someone else. The staff were so nice and remade our order with something extra. I’ve loved this place for years and they have the best, freshest sushi in town! My #1 spot for sure. The food and staff are the best! Sashimi combo is always good as well as the spicy rainbow roll.

I love, love, love this place. The sushi is fresh. The portions are generous The nigiri pieces are like 2x the size of some other places, and the rolls are stuffed full. The vibe is mellow and inviting, the location perfect, and the prices are really reasonable. Eating there is a treat. And if you are having a party at home, consider the large sushi platter which is an amazing value. Thank you Crazy Fish! You all are amazing.

I was in a party of five at about 1130 am on a Saturday. My friends really like sushi, and they ordered a lot of sushi. There were at least nine rolls on our table, and the rolls looked terrific! I do not enjoy sushi, so I just had a chicken teriyaki bowl, which was good. The service was not good, but we will certainly visit this restaurant again

Me and my boyfriend came here a couple weeks prior to today and everything was great, so we decided to come back for our anniversary but this time it was anything but that. We didn’t get any miso soup and when we asked about it and the end of our meal we got told they ran out about an hour ago (we got sat an hour and a half before that.) I had ordered a side of sriracha and never got it. The waiters didn’t check on us until the very end and were hardly ever around to even stop and ask them anything because they were smoking in their little area which is visible by most customers. As we were eating our food we found a piece of hair in 2 different rolls and it went through the entire roll!! When I mentioned it to the waiter he said oh yeah I know which chef that was and just comped one roll and not the second one. I mean at least he comped one and said sorry but not even in a sympathetic voice he sounded more annoyed if anything. Not only that the proportions were so uneven, there were like 4 decent sized rolls and then 2 really big rolls. We got handed water and didn’t even get asked if we wanted anything else to drink which would’ve been fine but the water tasted old like it was left out for hours, and it also took 10 minutes to get a refill of water. A couple (who came in after us) got food and soup before we got ours.

I love the options for the food! Not only is there fresh sushi, but also they have bento boxes, fried rice and plenty more kitchen items! They also have a new green Thai tea, which is amazing! Crazy fish is my place to go when craving any type of Japanese cuisine!
