Sunday the 16th, we had a group of 7 in our party. We are current and retired bartenders. We walked in the bar and bartender was rude from the start. We pulled a table out for ourselves so we had a place to sit. We asked if she was going to take our order at the table. She responded no, but if you come up to the bar I will. She had 4 other people in the entire place. Needless to say, we got up and walked out. I’ve never been in a place or served a large party and had to go to the bar. The customers sit and we go to them. Especially when the bar is nearly empty. Not to mention we are not local to this establishment.

Went to this bar while visiting on vacation an the owner said they wouldn’t serve my family because she said had an issue with someone else in the family. don’t give them your money. i wish i had a buzz like the bartender had before we got cut off after one drink.

Nestled away in olden town Illinois, this bar is truly a diamond in the rough. Everything you could want or need all in one place. Cold drinks, an inviting atmosphere, league nights, and consistency(one of my req’s) leave little to be desired. The owners work as hard as the workers, and everyone puts a little of themselves into this down home bar. Every time I make it to Illinois I make sure to stop in and order me a Crown apple and Angry Orchard.. play some darts, and mingle with all the folks. Dont take my word for it, see for yourself.. Tell Doris that Blayne sent ya.. and try an angry orchard with a shot of Crown Apple too.
