If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! My workplace provides lunch every Friday, so I decided to mix things up with a crawfish boil. The Crawfish Shack & Oyster Bar was the only restaurant willing to handle an order of 60 pounds of crawfish, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The cooking staff, manager, and owner were fantastic to work with. Not only did they boil 60 pounds of crawfish, but they also packaged them into 2-pound bags. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and offered beverages while we waited. Even as they worked on our large order, they attended to every customer who walked in. I am beyond impressed and can only imagine the hard work that went into making this happen. I will definitely be ordering from here again! Thank you, from all of us!

I liked this place. Service is top notch. Not stuffy, but knowledgeable and nice. Great music playing in the background and not what you would expect. Crawfish were good, but their hottest level could use some more heat for my taste as I didn’t even sweat. Keylime pie was dense and sweet. Better cajun food than a lot of other places.

Love the rustic atmosphere. Our waitress was on top of it and busy! We had fried oysters (great), crawfish etouffee (tasty) and spicy crawfish boil (good and messy). Everything was perfect, can’t wait to return!

This is my go to spot for meetings. My employees and just good hot fresh food. Disappointed one time with small cocktail shrimp but the rest of the time makes up for it. Always recommend

The crawfish is $12.99/lb and so worth it! They were fresh, well cooked, perfectly seasoned, and nice sized. The staff made us feel welcomed. The frozen margaritas are $8 and strong! Definitely will be becoming a regular here for crawfish.

Good food! I liked almost everything. Wished the crawfish were a little bigger and fresher – but other than that, everything was great!
The server was cordial, but a little hasty at times, perhaps because they were a bit understaffed.

Super expensive for overcooked, bland, food and small portions. Got a 3lb boil with 2 individual king crab legs for $251! Insanely high pricing for what we received. It came with two tiny potato’s and one terrible overcooked corn. In fact, all of the crab was very overcooked and mushy too. All other items that usually come in a boil such as sausage, etc, was extra $!! Everywhere else I have ever been for seafood was 10x the amount of food and 10x the quality given this price. Not to mention when we asked for paper towels, a necessity for eating a boil, the owner/manager or whoever he was, came and ripped us each off 2 paper towels instead of simply giving us a roll for the table like all the other empty ones had sitting on them already. It was very odd. If you’re paying with a card there is a $10 added charge for that as well .
My family of three and I felt robbed coming here for my birthday dinner. We all left hungry and disappointed and had to pay $251 for it. Which is the most I have ever paid for a boil for three people and it was for the most mediocre food ever. They really need to adjust their pricing and quality. And service too. We will not be coming back. *Photo is what was ordered*. This place is nasty, anyone who has boils often or even periodically, will not be impressed.

Small restaurant but a homely environment for group gathering. Ordered 4lbs snow crabs, 4lbs Shrimps, 2lbs Crawfish, the sweet corns is so flavourful, red potatoes average, sausage and baby bellow is yummy. Fried Calamari is just average. Price is reasonable and good. Would visit again.

Overall really good place to go for a seafood boil experience. I’m from Houston and was on vacation in Austin, but was skeptical about getting seafood that far up north. (I know it’s only a couple hours but those couple hours DO make a difference). If you like a kick in your Cajun food definitely go as spicy as you can go. Crab was cooked well, shrimp were perfect, and the crawfish were delicious. It was a little weird seeing everyone around eating over the bowl that the boil comes in because I’m use to people tossing the shells on the table when they’re finished so I felt a bit barbaric. It took a little bit for the wait staff to bring me drinks and such but they were extremely busy. If you like seafood I definitely suggest this place.

First time here. Met some really nice people. You can take your own drinks. Beer & wine. The people we met had a cooler full of beer. Thought this would be a new spot. Nope!!!
Ordered crab legs $18.99 a pound, shrimp $10.99 a pound, craw fish $9.99 a pound. Long story short. Food was overcooked. Friend ordered take out for daughter. Found a spider in the bag. Called the restaurant and took the food back. No resistance. He said “sorry”. Is that it??!! Just leaving this review so you know to check your food. We won’t be back. I will post pictures.
