My wife and daughter are AVID crawfish eaters so with my family of 5 we dove into 20 lbs. The food was good but I could have done better. We spent over 200 dollars. When we received the bill it was over 300. When asked we were told an 18% gratuity was added. We didn’t get an itemized bill…when asked the girl seemed surprised and explained that it’s added to ALL billls. If we hadn’t asked for a breakdown of what we ordered our bill would have been 323…before we tipped.

Unassuming and laid back restaurant with delicious food. Having never eaten Crawfish before, I didn’t know what to expect. Conclusion: super tasty. Glad we got the mild, as they were still spicy but super flavorful. Shrimp po boy was also very good. French fries has a good seasoning on them. Outdoor seating is available. Prices were reasonable.

This is the kind of place I search for when traveling. This is a local, no frills eatery. The food was tasty and hot. Service was prompt and friendly.

Incredible staff and owners. Drove out from GA yesterday for a work daytrip and decided to take crawfish back. Once the staff found out how expensive crawfish are out here in ATL, they handpicked the sacks for me. I’m stunned. Biggest crawfish I’ve ever boiled. Amazing quality and STUNNING price. Will definitely be making more daytrips to Pearl to see these folks at the Crawfish Barn and take some of their delights back home!

The food was good, but the crawfish were fairly small. The mild crawfish had very little flavor/spice. I wanted them spicy, but my fiance didn’t want them too hot, so we settled on mild. The crablegs were great. The potatoes, corn, and sausage were also great. The atmosphere was a little drab, with cinderblock walls, limited outside seating, a small parking lot, and bathrooms that were outside the establishment and they were dirty, dated, and under equipped restrooms. They were very busy, although it was a Friday evening during the crawfish season, so thays probably why. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food came out quick and they were good about checking on us to see if we needed anything. Overall a 3.7 with potential to get over a 4 if they upgrade the building decor and bathrooms, and do something about the parking lot (paint more lines). The crawfish were small, but it could he becuase it’s early in the season, so they get a pass on that. We’ll be back, but not somewhere I’d frequent.

Extremely Disappointed and Will Not Be Returning
Every time I visit this restaurant, I have an unpleasant experience, and my most recent visit was the final straw. I ordered 4 pounds of crawfish and noticed a 10% fee added to my bill. When I asked the waiter about it, I was told this fee is charged to everyone who orders seafood and that there was a sign outside explaining the policy.
I went to check the sign myself, and it clearly states that the 10% fee applies to orders of 6 pounds or more. I only ordered 4 pounds. Despite that, a woman who appeared to be in a supervisory or management role insisted the fee applied to all seafood orders. When I pointed out that her policy doesn’t align with the sign, she responded rudely, told the cashier to change my receipt, and walked off mid-conversation while throwing her hand up in the air. She has a very arrogant and unpleasant demeanor.
To make matters worse, I was told the 10% fee is considered a mandatory tip. So not only are customers being charged a tip without consent, but it’s also being falsely applied to orders that don’t meet the posted requirements. I can only imagine how many people have unknowingly been overcharged in this way.
The lack of professionalism and transparency is unacceptable. I will not be returning and would caution others to double-check their receipts and question any unexplained fees.

The food was great and really quick to come out. The service was not the best. No one came to my table until the check came out. I had to go in to ask for a beer and more butter. I also rushed for my order.

It’s a quiet place to visit, like a tiny cafe hidden behind a gas station… which it is. Ordered some frog legs, a beer, and then the fries we de very crispy and fresh.

Don’t go here. Crawfish were cold mostly and small in size. They taste like they’re boiled in clear water and had the seasoning sprinkled on after it was taken out. It wasn’t expensive I spent less than $25 for a would be regular sized meal. But aside from that the building is dull inside and out, parking is horrible, and the service was less than good.

OMG, I love seafood, and the crawfish were so good. I will definitely revisit the next time I’m in Jackson.
