I recently visited Crawdaddy’s Montana, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff were exceptional: friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Our waiter went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right.
Food:
The menu is impressive, offering a great variety of steaks, seafood, and unique dishes. I ordered the sirloin steak with calamari, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and served with a fries side. My wife tried the thai prawn curry, and it was absolutely delicious. Portions are generous, and the quality is good.
Value:
The overall value for the meal is excellent considering the portion sizes and quality. You definitely leave satisfied.
Atmosphere:
The vibe is lively yet comfortable, the indoor seating was a bit hot— so we moved outside which was ideal for Pretoria’s summer heat. It’s also family-friendly, with a play area for kids, which is a big plus.

Brooklyn is our favourite branch for many years, but the standards at Montana are very impressive, and being our local, we find ourselves coming here to Crawdaddys Montana whenever we feel like a great time out with a tasty meal.
We had the fried Hake with half salad/half chips, lemon butter sauce, absolutely delicious. Tender, moist and flavoursome. The beef marrow bones with toasted Ciabbata slices had us drooling. Sooo tasty!
Friendly, fast, helpful staff, outstanding food and wonderful Biscoff Cheesecake for that sweet finish.
Highly recommended. Our favourite restaurant chain in Pretoria.

Crowdaddys is a decent spot for food in Montana. The combos were well put together we especially enjoyed the ribs, Buffalo wings, and chicken livers served in a small potjie. They also offer a good selection of seafood dishes. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit and well worth a try.

I am extremely happy with the service we received at Crawdaddys in Montana. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by friendly staff and received top-class service throughout our visit.
The food was absolutely delicious — I enjoyed every single bite. The peri-peri chicken was very hot (definitely not for the faint-hearted ), the ribs were super delicious, the steak was juicy and full of flavour, and the prawns were simply outstanding — honestly the best I’ve ever had.
Spur and Ocean Basket definitely have some competition! Big ups to the chef and the entire staff. Every cent spent was worth it, and I truly enjoyed my birthday dinner without a single complaint.

No go!!! Service, food and drinks. I ordered a grapefruit cocktail and get a strawberry one. The starter was so salty you can’t eat it. The meat ordered medium to well done was raw!
Ordered malva pudding and creme brulee. Only get the malva pudding. Had to ask again for the creme brulee and get that no where look as if we didn’t ordered it.
Crawdaddys Montana will never see us again.

Third time that we had to sit on the top floor. All three time the service was bad. There is just no service on that floor, we were the 3 rd couple that stood up and walked out. No managers in sight. Poor poor service. So sorry, we left and went to Toureiro’s Montana, perfect food and service .

This place is ok… Its not as nice as the one in brooklyn. This has a lot more tasteless food and or too well done. Service is slow even though the place is quiet. Wont waste my money or time here again id rather go to a place where service is fast and food excellent.

My wife and I had our wedding anniversary lunch at Crawdaddy’s Montana today, and was pleasantly surprised. The friendly service since we entered the frontdoor up to the end of our stay was mindblowing. Our waiter was a young very friendly and helpfull lady, and when she heard it is our wedding anniversary, she arranged a complimentary dessert which was superb. You made our anniversary special.
