Craving Crab

The food was delicious! The catfish might have been the best I’ve ever eaten! Jennifer, the waitress was great as well! We had a variety of food from catfish to crab and there’s no complaints at all! We will definitely be back! I don’t know what JB Bara is talking about because it was great!

We lived on the Texas Coast for many years and seafood was something we ate a lot.
This establishment being in North Central Texas had us a little concerned about authenticity.
We ordered Crab pots and a few other things.
The service, delivery of our order, AND the taste was Spot on Delicious! Thank you Craving Crab. We WILL return.
There was more on the trays but we dug in a little bit before taking pics of this Scrumptious dinner.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant. Food selection was good with a bit of everything from boils to fried baskets. We did a small boil paired with a lunch basket. It was a good combo for two of us. Definitely recommended for a lunch or dinner location. Kid options for families also on the menu. Prices aren’t bad, subject to going market prices.

Absolutely delicious!!! This was our first time trying them and we ordered to go. They gave us a nice bag that kept our food warm on the way home and even some tools to crack open the crabs. My friend who went in to order also said the staff was really nice and helpful. Definitely will be back again!

We ordered the family platter with mild seasoning, and the food was truly finger licking good. The seafood, every piece of it, was crunchy fresh. The corns, sausages, and potatoes were cooked just right. We put on our bibs and gloves and dived into the best seafood dinner we have enjoyed for a long while!

The decor and the services were great too! I truly recommend this restaurant if you crave for good Cajun style seafood!

The service was outstanding. Our waitress explained how the menu worked seeing that this was our first time there. The atmosphere was great. The scallops we ordered as an appetizer was cooked to perfection. We had them add a little bit more seasoning to them, very delicious. Our main course was mudbugs, mussels, shrimp and snow crab with the fire Cajun seasoning. More than enough food for 2 people. Definitely going back when we need a seafood fix. Stop in and give them a try.

This is a fun family restaurant to have lunch or dinner because of the colorful decor. The minute you walk in the door, you feel like you are on vacation and dining at a seaside cafe. The lunch prices for the fried seafood baskets are reasonably priced.

I would also recommend this place for happy hour drinks because they have a fully stocked bar and delicious appetizers. The krabby cakes were my favorite! Great music, atmosphere and service.

We will be back for dinner to try out their seafood boil pots.

(The only reason I gave a 4 star rating for the food was because there aren’t any healthy options for people with dietary concerns.)

I was in food service management/ownership for over 20 years. Walk in Saturday evening, place wasn’t busy but it was only 5:30, wasn’t too concerned at all. Asked if we could sit at the bar because there was a game I wanted to watch. I could tell immediately, bartender was extremely inexperienced and annoyed. She did not want any customers. She couldn’t figure out how to put the game on we wanted to watch but miraculously she could change the TV in the dining room we wanted to watch. Waitress was not bad at all. I ordered a draft beer which came out in a 10 oz mug with about 2 1/2 inches of foam. My date had a Pina Colada (which was basically just Pineapple juice, no coconut. Never seen a yellow Pina Colado before). We had a Snow Crab, shrimp and crayfish boil. Crab was great which is why my daughter has raved about this place before. Crawfish was the worst I’ve ever had. Shrimp was decent. Paid for extra potatoes and Corn because I love those, how do you mess up potatoes and corn? They know how. Before leaving I couldn’t help but notice my server sitting at a table next to us on her phone with her back to the register, and the manager/owner n his phone facing the door and register, while an elderly couple waiting for an extended amount of time to be seated. Both server and manager still sitting on their phones. Then another lady walked up to pay her bill, both still sitting there clueless on their phones. I wish I would’ve sat and clocked how long that couple had to wait to be seated and how long that lady waited to pay. When we walked out, they were all still waiting. I don’t frequent that area often but I will not be back. I went there because my daughter and family friends had recommended the place. I have been to Boorays multiple times but it has been at least 5 years since my last visit. I should’ve just went with the comfortable choice.
