This hole in the wall restaurant is DELICIOUS. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere not so much but listen the food makes for the lack of ambiance. I a licking my lips thinking about it. I had the lamb noodles.. soooo yummy. My friend had the orange chicken even better. I will be going back when I am in the area.

Went for dumpling happy hour on a whim when I was in the area. It was great! Decent prices ($5 for 3 medium sized dumplings), but the real benefit was the taste. I recommend trying each type of dumpling. Very saucy and crispy but perfectly cooked inside. There was only one other person there when I went around 4:30pm so no wait time either.

Ordered takeout from here. Got the chicken fried rice which was really good! It had lovely chunks of bacon in there. I also tried the soup which was flavorful and a good amount of spicy. I’d probably go back and sit in the store. Portion sizes are worth the price!

Do not sleep on this place, amazing! But come with a bunch of people so you can order a bunch of the menu to share. The spring roll was one of the best, killer brussel sprouts. The wings just play compared to it all. Get the chicken main, bulgogi was delicious. The cold noodles was good but not great. Had great cocktails as well. The dumplings were all quite delicious, go for any of them.

Delicious food and a food fusion of flavor. Service is quick and seating is quick as well. Came for restaurant week and was very pleasantly happy with the options and especially the pickled radish

My partner and I chose to have dinner at Chiko this past Valentine’s Day as it was the restaurant we had our first date in. They had a special prix fixe menu for that night, so I phoned in a few days before to make sure we were all set.
Ashley, the general manager of the Dupont Circle location, made the experience so special for us. From the initial call to when my partner and I actually arrived. Ashley had prepared the best table for us (all the way in the back, in front of the windows looking out to P Street) with little heart decorations and champagne.
Ashley, thank you so much for making this Valentine’s Day so memorable and celebrating with us. Your attention to detail, candor, and good energy brought it home for us, you’re amazing!
(ah, yes. Food was amazing too, 10/10 as always!)

Very forward flavors and freshly prepared food. A good choice for gluten-free dining that is pretty safe for people with Celiac. As usual avoid cross-contact in fryer items. Otherwise, clearly marked GF items on separate menu.

One thing that never disappoints is the Chiko dumpling hour. Their sauces are always to die for, dumplings are fresh, and drinks are delicious. Their spiked asian pear cooler is so delicious and super refreshing and combined with the chilled peanut noodles it is really the perfect summer meal. Also the stir fried rice cakes was so perfect and its just a really wonderful and vegetarian friendly spot I love to come back to.

Went during restaurant week and had an incredible meal for $40! Counter service and first come first serve tables but the food punched far above its weight. Highly recommend the spicy cucumber, smashed salmon, and coconut custard.

one of the few places in dc where you can get an incredible bang for your buck in terms of portion sizes. they are quite busy in the evenings and also with preparing takeout orders. most items have a lot of fried toppings, so it’s not the healthiest option, but everything is flavorful and texturally complex
