Went here back in July for our anniversary dinner. This has the feeling of a family owned business. Space was tight, but the service was awesome. The only issue I had, I ordered a well done steak, but part of it was more like medium well. I’m going to call them today to see if they squeeze 2 more in for Saturday, which I doubt, but you never know if you don’t ask. I would recommend you check this place out.

Great old school steak house. We celebrated a couple birthday there yesterday. Our group order different of cuts of meat and the Halibut. All meals were cooked as ordered. Everyone in the group fully enjoyed their meals. My prime rib was excellent.
Cranes has a good wine list and we enjoyed some nice Chianti’s.
The service tops the food. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
I enjoy going to Crane’s and looking forward to eating there again soon.

We had heard this was a great steakhouse so we decided to give it a try. My husband and I both ordered the ribeye was Scalloped potatoes in their vegetable. We were expecting something fabulous based on reviews and the fact that it was pretty pricey. The scallop potatoes were delicious. But the steaks, were only so so. For the quality beef that they advertise that they use, it was underwhelming. Steaks were cooked properly, but just not as tender or as tasty as I would expect for the price. The two sauces that we ordered were also just OK and were six to $10 additional. So, I would recommend that you try to find a different place if you’re looking for a good steak for a good value. And if you find one, please let me know!

An absolutely delicious steak house with excellent service and food. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything that is ordered. Staring bread is wonderful, Cesar salad delicious as well as our steaks, scalloped potatoes and the creamed spinach. Highly recommended!

I’ve been around for a long time, Traveled extensively. This is the best steak house ever. Marvelous meat prepared exactly like it was ordered. Waitstaff is perfect , they know how to make you smile. Incredible wine list. You better plan to share your desert, they are huge.

What a wonderful experience! Our family traveled in from New York and Connecticut for a Thanksgiving reunion, and Sean made us feel instantly welcomed. His personality and exceptional service truly elevated our visit. The steak was incredible too — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We’ll absolutely recommend this place to others, and we’ll definitely be back.

This was our second time to Cranes Tavern in Hilton Head on Christmas Eve. Our waiter was the same both years dressed as Santa. I can’t say enough about how good the food was or our waiter. He had the best cheerful disposition for someone having to work on Christmas Eve. When we said we’ll see you next year he said he was retiring and moving. We will definitely miss him.
I hope management tells him how much we appreciated him being our waiter from the funny group of 8 in the back table.

We made reservations to eat dinner at the bar. Chris, the bartender, was busy with a full bar, but he made sure our needs were met.
The food was delicious! I had the ribeye with a lobster tail. My wife had the salmon. For dessert I had the peanut butter cup. Everything was cooked perfectly and was very tasty!
We will definitely come back again when we are in the area.
