We had the mountain of nachos with pulled pork. It was very good. The pork was a little sweet, not my thing but was still good on the nachos. It could easily served 3 to 4 people. They had a good selection of Montana beers on tap. The bar top has a cooling area all the way around the bar to keep your beer cold. We sat at the bar near the door but it was a bit chilly when the door opened and moved to the other side. Our server was fantastic and gave great recommendations.

The food came out steadily not too long a wait for appetizers, mains arrived together, and no rushed feeling. The staff were very attentive. Food was very good. They had Monday night football on and played the overhead so we could enjoy the games.

Very attentive service, excellent selection of beers. Bartender knew the menu and made recommendations. Got the bison Patty melt and it was 10 out of 10. Unfortunately the fries with it are just not good. They are rubbery, they’re tiny. They’re just too small. They’re over seasoned, just really don’t enjoy them. Everything else here is excellent.

Nov 25, 2025, my wife and I had the opportunity to meet up with her brother and his wife in Kalispel, MT. Being from Texas, we were pleasantly surprised with the 6 inches of Snow that fell when we arrived, but I digress.
While there we went to Whitefish and stopped in at the Craggy Range Bar & Grill. Our waiter, Cody, was very attentive, informative and made some great recommendations which we took him up on. He even reminded us it was Happy Hour, so we enjoyed the perfect Smoked Old Fashioned. This went excellent with our meal, which came out Hot, Fresh and was absolutely delicious.
Cody was very attentive and we were able to have a short conversation with him, wherein he shared some interesting history/facts about Whitefish. I don’t know when we will have the opportunity to visit MT again, but when we do, the Craggy Range Bar and Grill will be on the top of our list of places to go. I, on behalf of my wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, do highly recommend you add this to the top of your list as well. I am confident the entire waitstaff there is excellent, but when you go, ask for Cody.

Montana Yak Fishing
I arrived at Craggy before my family of five joined me. Mike, who was ours server was incredible. He made sure my wife had a margarita and all of my boys had waters before arriving. There was no crazy long wait for our food and Mike made us feel very welcomed. We then had some friends join us towards the end of dinner and Mike was right there with dessert for the kids and another margarita for my wife’s girlfriend. Mike provided an amazing experience and we will definitely be returning. I give Craggy a 10 out of 10.

Loved our bartender Mike, he was extremely friendly and made our time at the bar feel like home! He had wonderful suggestions on the menu, and the drinks. The service was wonderful. Very prompt and all of the suggestions exceeded my expectations. The food is fantastic, even for upscale bar food.
However, watching the manager at the end of the bar scold other employees during our meal was something that should have been properly handled in a private place! The manager should learn how to do her job and run the business accordingly and not reprimand the employees in a public environment…it’s looks bad on the business!
***However, I would have normally given The Craggy Range a 5 star rating. For the wonderful service and food.

We liked this place enough to come back a second time while in town. The Huckleberry Pulled Pork is very good! Quieter than the place across the street. Good place to catch a football game. Good service.

We ate at Craggy twice on our trip, we had to have the bison chili more than just once! It has sports bar / tavern vibes, and the food was what you’d expect. We had the chili, 406 queso, wings, chicken tenders, bison patty melt, and fish and chips. Our favorite was the chili and the queso! The huckleberry bbq sauce was a hit. Our servers were great each time.
