Fix the butternut squash ravioli! I completely agree with the person who shared their review on the butternut squash ravioli last week. It was quite bad and flavorless. I have included the description in my photos. It said it had brown butter sauce and roasted butternut squash but there was very little if any brown butter sauce and the butternut squash was not roasted, most likely boiled, and on the bottom of the dish was a watery butternut squash liquid. I can’t believe this problem hasn’t been fixed yet after the last person complained and the manager apologized for it. They did however comp the dish as we let them know about the issues. So that was very nice. Thank you.
My wife got the butternut squash ravioli, I got the brussel sprout salad and added salmon, it was very delicious. I also got the cream of mushroom soup and it was also good, yum!
Our server was very nice and everything else was just fine.

Came in for dinner and the spread looked good. The burger was good quality and tasty and appetizers were tasty. I loved the freshness of the ingredients, though my burger patty was a little more well-done than I usually prefer and the chips was a bit oily. That said, the service was friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I’d definitely give it another go.

What a lovely spot! We came in for the first time on Sunday and enjoyed the cheese curd, the craft burger, and the soft pretzel. We enjoyed the food so much we decided to go back again today (tuesday) for lunch. I am so glad we did, we sat at the bar and Ryan took great care of us (not sure if she’s the bar manager or just one of the bartenders but regardless of her title she was phenomenal)
She was attentive and offered recommendations. The Wisco Old Fashioned she made was the best I’ve ever had. Of all the places we dined in Madison this was the best value for the food we had and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will happily return next time we visit.

We had such a great experience at Craftsman Table & Tap! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. It’s the kind of place that manages to feel both modern and cozy at the same time, perfect for dinner with friends or just a casual night out.
The food was fantastic—everything came out fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The menu has a great balance of comfort favorites and creative twists, and the drinks list is equally impressive. Service was spot-on too: friendly, attentive, and never rushed. All around, it felt like one of those spots you’re happy to discover and can’t wait to return to.

My husband and I stopped in the other night and were massively underwhelmed.
The food was…bland. My chicken was extremely dry, and the ravioli meal completely lacked flavor. I’ve never gone out to eat and been so dissatisfied by a meal. All I could taste was the salt I added to it. For the first time ever, I was ready to send a dish back to the kitchen. But the server was too busy discussing TikTok’s with coworkers, and the manager busy watching the football game, for either of them to check back in after the food was delivered.
The atmosphere was okay, sort of an outdated, but polished vibe.

We rented the 2nd floor event space for a happy hour and speaker event, and could not recommend it more. The planning process was straightforward and clear, with the events team being very transparent about pricing and prompt with replies. They helped us with setup on a TV and provided a mic/speaker. The cocktails and food were delicious, with many people commenting on how great the selections were for all dietary needs. The overall event cost also fit within our budget for a small event. Thank you to the Craftsman team for being wonderful hosts for our space, we will definitely look to rent from them again!

We’ve eaten brunch and dinner at Craftsman over the past few weeks and both have been excellent. The food is fresh and somewhat unique, the portions are filling, and the drinks have been tasty–I especially love their espresso old fashioned at brunch, and their chocolate mousse is life altering. The staff has been fine but nothing exceptional. We will return!

Great brunch experience! Very kind and attentive server. Food was delicious. I had the veggie market omelet but the group also had the breakfast blt, the American breakfast and the breakfast burger. Everything was great! It was not busy and very clean. I’d definitely rerun for brunch!

If you’re looking for a place with a great atmosphere, this spot delivers. There’s a nice bar with plenty of seating, a spacious dining room, and a comfortable outdoor area to enjoy when the weather’s nice. The beer selection is impressive, and the cocktail menu has some solid options. As for the food—it’s just okay. Not bad, but nothing that really stood out. Come for the drinks and the vibe more than the food.
