I love this place. It took a minute to get in. But it was well worth it. The food has amazing flavor and a great abundancey of it. One seafood bucket will feel two people easily and have stuff to take home. I recommend this place great food and awesome service.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted and acknowledged. The bar and the chalkboard menu are very eye catching. I ordered a 2lbs of shrimp and 2lbs of crab leg boil. They came with corn, potatoes and sausage. The flavor from all the seasoning and spices made it very tasty. I did think it was very reasonable because of the amount of food that came out. The server that attended me was such a cool person. He came around all the time and checking to make sure everything was going well. I loved the ambiance and the decor of this restaurant.

Next time Im around Amarillo, I’m stopping by to visit this restaurant again.

We usually get takeout when they have crawfish specials, but recently dined in for one of their end of season deals. The crackin sauce extra hot is really good. The food is fresh considering how far we are from the sea and farms. Service was good. If you like seafood boils it’s a good spot. I also like the sweet potato fries.

I really loved this place! We (each) ordered 1lb snow crab, 1lb (headless) shrimp, 1 boiled egg and the sides, Crackin sauce, medium heat……the flavor was out of the world! This place would get 5 stars on any giving day, only one complaint was the guy didn’t have any help. He was the host, server, bartender, and cashier…he was running the whole shu-bang (front) by himself. He was super sweet and did a great job being a one-man-show! I ordered the “Sassafras” drink which was loaded and delicious! We will going here again!

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Kensi, the owner, went above and beyond to make the experience memorable truly some of the most thoughtful service I’ve encountered lately. And the House Crackin’ Ranch? A total flavor bomb. It’s incredible. This spot is definitely worth a visit! Lastly a server told my brother where to drop in Fortnite and when we got home he took a Victory Royale. Definitely coming back for the food and to find out where to drop next!

03/27/2025 – Met with a couple of people for a business dinner. As this was my first time at Crackin’ Crab, I didn’t know what to expect.

First, the restaurant was clean, had decent ambient lighting, and with music at a notable – but not excessive – volume. Overall, my initial impression was good.

The waiter James was wonderful and very helpful, answering my question about the difference between Snow Crab and Dungeness Crab legs. (Snow Crab meat is sweeter, but less of it; Dungeness is saltier, and there is more of it.) I ordered the Dungeness Crab legs, while both of my business associates chose the fried shrimp.

I WAS IMPRESSED. The Crab legs were cooked to perfection, and the quality of the sauce – medium heat – was AMAZING, just hot enough to be interesting, but not so hot as to be unpleasant. In addition, I was given a plastic bib and vinyl gloves to keep me from getting messy. My associates were equally impressed by their fried shrimp.

All together, we had an excellent meal, which contributed nicely to our conducting business. James was a fantastic host – friendly, attentive, and helpful. All in all, it was a truly enjoyable experience, with great food, great service, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. I look forward to eating there again.

VERDICT: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We are in town for a convention. This place was recommended by our hotel. It was fantastic. The food had the best flavor and our waiter James was the best. The other female waiter was awesome as well. Although James was super busy, he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and we’re taken care of . We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Im working near Amarillo, out in Borger TX, which is a 1 hr drive to get these crawfish. I spoke with Kenzie, and she was so nice and professional. I ordered 3 crawfish separate orders to-go. Upon arrival, I was greeted by James, and he was extraordinary! The cook was also very pleasant as I sat at the bar and chatted with James. He made me a great drink, and I even ordered shrimp to eat there. This is a great atmosphere, good music and really good crawfish! I give this place 2 thumbs up! It’s a must if you’re coming from work, wanting great food and a nice, friendly vibe with good, strong drinks.

Came in about 1:20 PM and was treated great. The server was fast and attentive, the food came out hot and fresh. I had the fried catfish with fries. The catfish was a normal thicker filet, three of them – and not small. The fires had the crab boil seasoning – tasted great. This meal could have easily been shared between two people.
